It's difficult to imagine the events immediately before, that somehow led to ward being in that position -  flat on his back, hands together like he is taking a nap, as the wolves players are in their positions and the ball crosses the line behind him. 

 

Short of a sniper in the crowd, I can't for the life of me imagine how that happened.

Be hilarious that he plays against us and has the absolute games of his life. It’s simply how it works. Although the rumours are that he’s going there as back up.

Think he was praying for RvN to take him off at HT but it never happened & it was a miracle we didn't concede another 6 goals 😉

Worst signing they are likely to make for a long time. Hopefully the get the full Danny ward goalkeeping experience for half a season or more

The BBC Football report states that his only first team appearance for Wrexham before signing for Liverpool was in a 2-1 defeat against Airbus UK. Sums it up really.

 

To be fair, like Daka and others, it´s not his fault he´s not good enough to play for us, it´s the fault of those who decided to buy him and couldn´t improve him once he was here.

The weird thing with ward, is that he was actually good for a full season at huddersfield. I just think his confidence was absolutely shot here. He knew if he made an error or even a regular goal went in, he’d be getting stick. 
 

He was beyond woeful but enough people have put faith in him that it makes me think, he actually can be far better than he was for us. Obviously mentality is part of the game but maybe with a happy home you see a different keeper &nbsp
 

Ben Hamer was on Danny ward levels, luckily didn’t get the same opportunities. But when he went to huddersfield he was someone okay for a while.

Get rid of this thread now. I could not give less of a ****. 

 

I'm fact, just thinking about having to look at him again next time it's his Birthday and the LCFC socials go into overdrive is enough to fookin irritate me beyond belief.

Yes, it is the fault of those that signed him and selected him to play but I'm not having it that Ward gets away scot free.  He is paid handsomely to do a job and his epic, consequence-free ineptitude has cost us dearly.   He has a responsibility to at least reach a minimum level of competence.  He will always have a special place in my affections for the damage he has caused. 

 

If Keir Starmer bankrupts the country, do you blame the voters and Starmer is absolved purely because he is a clown?

When you realise that a player is not good enough for the level you need, you get rid ASAP.  That was Clough´s philosophy. Easier said than done perhaps and it´s now too late in Ward´s case.

In the case of Daka, I would let go on a free now or pay him off and let him find a new club as he´s not even top-half Championship level.

Politicians have to face elections every 4-5 years, unlike club owners/managers/coaches.

I agree, but we've been trying to get rid of him for 3 years. 

 

The manager's and recruitment staff absolutely should be blamed but so should Danny for failing to do his job.
