Shit keeper, Mads has been performing miracles in goal but you can't blame Ward for any of the goals yesterday.

He's just shit, does the basics but just doesn't make any miracle saves like Mads.

He doesn't "do the basics" though. If it comes out in 10 years time that he was a money laundering scheme I wouldn't be surprised.

Disgraceful that he's involved 2 weeks away from 2025, but what do you expect from life under King Power nowadays.

A well run, functional business would've pulled Danny in at the end of relegation and told that we'll honour his contract but his registration will be released and he's free to find another club.

There's no need to embarrass him and make that public. Him and his agent would be free to negotiate a deal elsewhere without needing to find the money he is due.

Likewise when Enzo purged the remaining coaching staff, leaving the club at the mercy of Enzo men, a well run club would've kept the coaches on in another capacity.

Thick as pigshite down there

It's well and good arguing that he wasn't especially at fault for any of the goals yesterday, but fans have a right to be more than a little deflated seeing Ward appear for us in a league game in 2024. His continued presence alone is borderline emblematic of the subpar standard the club seems determined to set itself.

You could argue that, but they were coming at us just as much in the first half. The defence completely capitulated the moment Ward was subbed in, it was like instant deja vu back to the 22/23 season.

I can never get my head around someone having so little professional pride that they'd be happy to sit on the bench every week and collecting a fat pay packet whilst only being known as one of the worst top flight goalkeepers in history. Surely you would want the opportunity to go elsewhere and rebuild your reputation somewhat. It's naïve, I know, but I'm embarrassed for him.

Id question his intelligence if he decided to walk away from 2 million a year to try and prove he's a good keeper, when he knows himself it isn't true.

Yes, totally agree

You could see when Ward came on he was bricking it, he can obviously make saveloy instinct, as we've witnessed in cup games, but I think he has no bottle, and when the pressure is on him his brain freezes

It baffles me that football coaches and managers that are paid well dont realise how shite he is. He might be amazing in training but he is for me the main reason we got relegated. The fact hes even on the bench winds me up - terrible goalkeeper

The atmosphere will get hostile if he starts next weekend.

Already got hostile in my own living room yesterday, my young lad was absolutely fuming, shouting all sorts. Had to explain to his mother to let it slide - Danny Ward had come on and shipped two goals in as many minutes.

Apart from being a league one keeper at best you can tell his defence have zero confidence in him . It was clear in the relegation season when Rogers played him for 28 games of stunning ineptitude .
