Maddison (for want of better; his form has fluctuated but the rest have either been injured for lengthy periods or mostly rubbish)

Dewsbury-Hall (easy choice, even though he's only played half the season)

Lookman (v Liverpool) (because of what it meant; just edges out Ricardo v PSV)

securing our 16th placed finish?

Keeping us up and stopping Liverpool from winning the title, more like!

Isn't there a flaw in this voting system? I don't know enough about the women's team to vote, yet you have to select an option? I imagine the pre-filled name will get plenty of votes!

Anything for a bit of equality and inclusion

Yes I ended up voting for Mark Albrighton as Player of the season

Maddison will win Player of the Year because of recency bias.

Cast your memories back to the first couple of months of the season when he continued his horrendous form from the end of last season - I still remember him missing sitters in both Warsaw and Naples that would have seen us through the group stage.

Dewsbury-Hall, however, impressed each time he played and gradually made it impossible for him not to be included in the first XI. Since then he’s been one of our best three players in pretty much every fixture, has shown the mentality that many have lacked this year and has done it all whilst making the step up to a level he’d never played at before.

He deserves more than Young Player of the Year. He hasn’t simply been the standout of the kids, he’s been the standout of everyone.

It’s ridiculous. Everyone should just leave the pre-populated names as they are unless they know anything about the team and when the female equivalent of Ryan Bertrand wins Player of the Year maybe they’ll realise…

You mean those first couple of months of the season where Dewsbury-Hall didn’t even play?

You can’t claim recency bias for Maddison and not acknowledge the same for anyone voting KDH.

He did play. Not as much in the league, but in Europe and the cups he was playing.

Agree. I just picked out a name that I liked. Like your mum at the grand national.

I voted for Ash Plumptre.  Like my wife voting for Kasper.

Same reason anyway, and based on watching the same 45 minutes' worth of the season's football.

KDH is now 23.  What age does a person stop being 'young' these days?

Agree, he has (generally) been one of the better players.

In our young team Jamie, Kasper and Jonnie are just the wrong side of young

Haha, imagine accusing people of recency bias because of performances in August and September and then choosing a player who barely played until January.

He started exactly 3 games before the 5th December - 2 in the League Cup vs Milwall and Brighton and 1 in the Europa League in the infamous defeat vs Legia Warsaw.

Club have been a bit silly here.

The selection on each vote defaults to top of the list until you make your choice.

I'm sure most don't watch the women's team so have just left their votes for these awards as the default.... That will be a lot of votes to that particular player.

Indeed. I did that. Scrolled down the options for no vote but couldn’t find one so just left it with the default.

Really don't know what to or who to vote for?

None of the players put solid performance 2 games in a row!!

This was the problem for us all along this season.

Bloody consistency....

.

I remember there was a point in the season where I was considering Daniel Amartey as my POTY vote lol And to be fair he was our most consistent player for the first half of the season.
