I think everyone needs to relax about the potential issues with sharing the mobile ticket. If it works how I understand it we'll be sent a link to add the season ticket to our Google pay/Apple wallet, there is always the possibility that the link can be forwarded which will allow the ticket to be added to another account. If that doesn't work then you'll at least be able to give someone your login (not ideal I know) and they can access that way.

 

I saw someone also mention that they didn't want to deal with not having internet connection or downloading an app. The ticket will be saved offline so you won't need to worry about internet, also as it uses NFC you should be able to just tap your phone on the reader and it will work exactly like the current cards.

Going on previous seasons, and the 'likelyhood' of availability after this season and points required in previous seasons, does anyone know what a realistic points bracket would be for getting hold of a season ticket this season?

I would think that many points would be more than enough. And yes if one is successful on a linked account both are successful, at least that's what they've done in previous years.

Correct. They'll base the application on the lower points total. So if 50 wasn't enough, the one with 80+ also misses out

I’ve been wondering this. But I think I’m more concerned that you have to download one before every game, and I seriously don’t trust them with that when the link in the email to express a preference doesn’t even work!

I've got on the website, but how you make a selection is as clear as mud.

This season no, you get to choose plastic card. Although the way they are talking, I'm pretty sure after this season it will 100% be mandatory.

I can see it being put in place as mandatory from after next season or if not then, certainly one after.

I should have said "definitely be mandatory", There will always be get outs, not having a smart phone being one of them. It's clear the way it's worded, they want people to go that way, and will remove this format of choosing next season.

same here, mine didn't automatically renew so did it manually but it gave me the option of physical card when i was doing it

This is strange, presumably you are on the direct debit scheme? Maybe it's to do with where you sit? Or maybe different age bracket or something?

yeah, I'm on the direct debit scheme but it hadn't auto renewed so i had to do it manually and  input my DD details again
