I am sorry friend but I have developed a phobia of CMs - only a glut of impulse wing buys can cure me now.

Totally agree about that as a priority. It’s a big shame though we have got ourselves in this situation where we cannot/will not buy good young talent and upgrade our squad at reasonable prices. Even when we didn’t opt for lookman made me frustrated. Or try to bring in nick pope Henderson et al when we knew we there were opportunities and likely issues arising. I’m sure in  normal circumstances we would execute on these low risk sensible no brainers. Our name should have been on the list of potential suitors for Jesus too. Our strategy really boils down to looking for price anomalies in the market to accumulate and improve our position. We just can’t execute in this paralysed state. I wouldn’t blame BR solely either, rather the club need to review and learn the lessons

across the board when we go off track. Rant over.

Tbf I didn't see many forest fans upset they couldn't sign him prior. A little disappointed but ultimately not that bothered. So it they weren't that fussed, I'm not sure we should be.

I was being facetious of course and yes I quite agree with your points.  Lookman is a brilliant example.  He contributed well in a poor season (here and at Fulham).has a good attitude and is still young.  I know some thought he wasn't a priority signing but Barnes has had some injury issues and whilst less effective he can play on the right.  He was also a known asset.  A safe bet.

Rodgers should make better use of the players at his disposal and dispense with that bloody back three for starters.  However, a lot of this mess is down to poor recruitment so I agree it cannot be laid solely at Rodgers' door.

Maybe if he wasn’t injured all the time.

We’re about his level, though.

Maybe between him and barnes we csn get a full sesson out of them on the left. I'd guess about 22 games for harvey and 16 for pulisic

Spot on.

Yes BR not performing anywhere near "elite" level

But neither is John Rudkin who must also share responsibility for this farce

The management and board too as they will sanction big expenditure and monitor metrics such as wages and other key ratios. There is a team off the pitch as well as on it.

Do they have a spare centreback we can borrow?

Agree about Rudkin. Some of the blame for this mess must lie with him. It’s happened on his watch.

They are aiming higher with the players they are targeting

Predictive text is not your fiend.

I went to reply and mine suggested 'Rodgers is shit' before I'd typed a single word. I'm obviously spending too much time here.

One of my favourite programmes of the mid/late 70s.

Even at a young age, I must have related to Rockford often being skint and cocking things up, yet somehow coming out OK.....

I'd settle for a signing on that level just now! :D

It was a proper ear worm, back in my youth. I suppose Garner was a really big name for a TV vehicle in those days, I remember it being smart and funny, but I was quite young.

“However, Leicester’s interest would be dependent on outgoings at the King Power Stadium.”

It’s actually really annoying me now, he’s £15m. Your telling me we don’t even have that??
