Circling the drain aren't they, always love a "big" club relegation from the Championship – would love a Cardiff / Stoke / Hull drop, unfortunately you could probably put money on it being Rotherham, Blackpool and Wigan.

It's amazing how quick hes adapted to management so quickly in the second tier considering he's had no experience at that level even as a player. At a young management age of 36 you've got to say he's certainly got a bright future. I just hope he doesn't do a lampard have one good season and suddenly fancies a crack at the big time too soon.

He has always come across quite down to earth to me. I think he'd stick with Burnley first.

 

Agree it's amazing how quick he has adapted though. I don't think anybody expected Burnley to be top of the league so quickly.

Yes cost 5 million too !

 

We do seem to like wasting money atm which is the difference between how the Pozzos ran things in the first 5/7 years they were here.

 

I think it’s literally a squad injured now and most of them long term too.

Yes good player on the ball but just doesn’t look like scoring which isn’t ideal for a striker.

 

Probably why he is with us and not for Forest in the Premier league .

 

We are a real mishmash of a team but yes Norwich were pretty poor .

That's true.  The optimistic view was that we would be play-offs or thereabouts at the World Cup break, and then (when Kompany had had time for a mid-season pre-season, so to speak, with all the new players) - then, we could make a promotion push.

 

Mind you, 5 wins out of 5 since the World Cup - the break has done them good!

Michael Carrick seems to be doing a good job at Middlesbrough, wouldn’t be averse to him coming to us as a replacement for Rodgers, though Kompany should be our number one choice.
