Still in it. It won't happen but we are still in it.

If Belarus can score twice in Copenhagen and you can nearly claw yourself back from 3-0 down, you have every chance of winning next week. It's a disaster of proportions for Denmark. They got the result in Greece they needed and fluffed it when the ball was on the goal line...

Oh, we COULD but we WON'T.  We will NEARLY do it but it will be glorious failure as usual. Last minute Danish equaliser in a 2-2 draw.

.....and San Marino narrowly miss out on the play-offs, along with Moldova. But Sweden make them, despite their shameful campaign.

Wales v. North Macedonia is now effectively to decide which nation gets a home tie in the play-offs, as both will now be involved.

Yep. Not mathematically impossible, but highly unlikely.

Sweden would need to win their last 2 matches: Switzerland (A) & Slovenia (H) - and would need Kosovo to lose their last 2: Slovenia (A) & Switzerland (H).

That would put them in the play-offs via 2nd place in the group. That isn't going to happen - and you can quote me on that, when it does!

Flopped it at the first attempt 😂 nations league qualifiers now it is!

I said it before the group stage started, the Greek team is extremely talented. A lot of their young players are impactful in big leagues in Europe and it's a matter of time they build a very strong national team. Idk if their current manager is good enough, their FA maybe should try and approach someone like Klopp to work closely with these talented youngsters.

Tbh I expected Greece to finish at least 2nd strictly based on the squad quality but obviously the experience isn't still there.

Scotland really do put their fans through it.

Chances of them going ahead and being denied late on or a glorious defeat in spite of loafs of chances?

I doubt the majority of their fans expected this team to take the qualification to the final fixture. They've already overachieved and this isn't my saying. Their players said the same today after the final whistle.

Going forward they are excellent, defensively really poor.

Over the qualifiers, four teams really stood out.. Spain, Norway, England, and France. I get that conditions play a role, but these are elite athletes, nothing like the old days when players weren’t conditioned for climate changes. The best Olympians excel through every terrain, and today’s players aren’t afraid of the heat.

I’d say it’s likely to be one of England, Spain, or France. Not knocking Norway, they’re solid, but they tend to crumble under pressure, the back line is lacking…

Does anyone see Brazil or Argentina causing real problems? Brazil, especially, look absolutely useless right now.

Bloody brilliant for them, gotta be up there in terms of their greatest footballing moments. Not many would’ve seen them winning the past two games back to back. Parrott’s a star.

Dont think you could rule out a team managed by Ancelotti and Argentina are far and away the best South American team. Americas world cup’s have all but one time been won by South American teams so theres clearly an advantage for them. I’d agree it is very open.

I don't know if it was the Qatar factor, but Morocco making it to the semis surely means we cannot completely discount a team from a different container being a dark horse. Japan last time around were a strong outfit and could be even better this time around.

No internationals till March after this thankfully

They just need to put most nations in a  World Cup phase for 1 and a half month to end this farce. They did it with the European competitions by putting 500 teams there. Only 2-3 groups where interesting, I've not even watched a single England game and I reckon I'm not the only one.
