What a load of rubblish!

Evans, Vestiguarrd, Amartey, Soyuncu, and Fofana are all trained by the same coach, how come they don't all pay in the same style as CBs?

...look at their formative years!!!

There is no reason for there to be a difference between the styles and will have the same limitations. Iversen may have been encouraged on loan to come off his line, but I suspect his first thought will be to stay on his line.

That's an interesting point. I was refering to their individual styles,  iI they both stay on their line then surely it must be by instruction, Which seems strange.

I think Iversen will make the position his own if he gets a run in the side to establish himself.

Ward on the other hand has the experience of playing for Liverpool and International Football with Wales. So it's going to be interesting to watch.

Shame that in the current circumstances no one would take us seriously if we started putting out rumours, or even made a derisory offer, for Ivan Toney. Just to unsettle him. Just like Man City do to our players just before we play them. We need to improve in the dark arts.

Ward played 2 games for Liverpool in three years, and I'm guessing based on the figures they were due to injury or rotation. Iverson is also 5 years younger, but has over double the career appearances. It's not a tough decision, Iverson is our new number one.

What we should have done, was sell Ward, keep Kasper for one more year and keep Iverson on the bench and playing in all Cup games and occasional league rotation too. Instead we've got Ward, a number two, who is on a higher wage than we should be paying, and he's not going to improve.

Injuries and transfer speculation. The match well be a welcome distraction from both.

Meh.

Come on man. Opening day 1991 was much worse.

I don't get all the meltdowns and fuss.

We've not even kicked a ball yet!

Shite the Ricardo is out for 6 months, but the rest...?

Didn’t we get a fine 0-0 away at the mighty Swindon. At that time it was a great result for us. An away clean sheet.

Yeah, I was there, but we'd just stayed up by the narrowest of margins and feared the worst!

Wasn’t that Brian Little’s first game in charge? I was there and I remember a pitch invasion before the game I think?

It was indeed. I can't remember the pitch invasion though.

Looks like the team is:

Ward

Amartey

Evans

Fofana

Castagne

Tielemans

Ndidi

KDH

Justin

Maddison

Vardy

Why on earth would we play 3 at the back at home to dog mess like Brentford and go 3-5-1-1 instead of 3-4-1-2?

Also what's the incentive of Tielemans sorting his future out if we're just going to play our hand with him. It's not even cutting our nose off to spite our face, his form last season makes him no longer guaranteed first choice which I'm staggered I'm saying it but I'd show him he's in danger of being in no position to go to Qatar being match ready.

It was a pitch invasion after the game. A few of ours ran on to celebrate the 0-0 (honestly) and some of theirs squared up to them. There was then a group of 70/80  Leicester fans who charged them off of the pitch and cleared the stand closest to us. Looking back it probably was a tad OTT

I'm proud to say that we're better than that.

Yep, nearly won it when Paul Reid hit the crossbar. Sunny day, full of pissed up City fans rammed into a dangerously overfilled open air away end. Pitch invasion with the Baby Squad jumping the barriers into the Swindon lads that had been baiting us all game. First prosecutions for trespass in a sporting arena or summat.

It’s pretty much the most negative team selection he could have gone with. It’s going to be a looooong season

I would rather not play Tielemans. I love the guy and think he's a brilliant player and I dont want us to bench him out of spite unlike some others on here but surely we have to get used to playing without him if he's leaving this window.

This forum is as bad for spreading fear and negativity for the upcoming season as the media was for Covid.

Okay, I dont think we will set the world alight this season, but I think we'll do well enough to please most considering the situation we are in.
