The link up would be between both of them as opposed to having to try and fit into a team playing an endless possession game waiting for the pass to come. NB. Posted against the wrong post. Nacho playing with Maddison in this formation means Maddison has the #10 spot and does not drop to the middle of the park. Nacho gravitates to the #10 position so it becomes an issue to play them in this formation.
