A win is a win absolutely. You can only beat who we are scheduled to play.

Lets not put too much faith in these results however, if we are looking for some confidence against the better teams I really don't see that much has changed if anything other than the performance of our opposition. Now one could suggest that we played so well that it made the opposition play so poorly! Was that really the case against Forest, Leeds & Woles? I'd struggle to argue that we were a class apart!

We were fortunate at the beginning of each game, where we could have easily been a goal down against Forest but they hit the post, Leeds scored for us & Wolves were the victims of a fabulous strike. Wolves had chances but they just didn't score. Now these Teams are not very good at putting the ball into the oppositions net in general, hence why they are all in the relegation zone.

If you believe the next 3 games against Manchester City, Everton & West Ham will be as pleasing for LCFC,Id suggest you reconsider, as even with let's say fortunate events from these 3 previous wins, I believe our next 3 opponents will be able to defend much better, and attack much better than the 3 teams we have won against and the old problems will appear again.

Not as pleasing maybe but also it isn't time to say back to reality or told you so for the constant neysayers if we lose to Man City.

We needed wins in these games, under pressure against two teams who needed it every bit as much and we have come out convincing winners. You don't perform like yesterday when you're a relegation fighting team. We are showing we are a class above in my opinion and I expect us to be well out of ths mess soon.

Absolutely. We allowed these 3 poor teams to shoot 1x times per match. They just failed to hit the target most of the time. Will stronger teams not score a bunch of goals if so?

Seriously?lower XG, far fewer shots, we won thanks to a wonder strike and the awful goalkeeping of Sa (Just like what Wardy does in the first 9 games of the season!)

Although I'm still Rodgers out, I get the logic behind Rodgers having now earned until the World Cup. We needed a series of results in the last 3x fixtures, and he's delivered that. We needed the defence to improve, it has. We're still scoring goals and playing some decent attacking stuff.

We are now, for the first time all season, in something remotely resembling good form. We've picked up a consecutive wins, and 3 clean sheets in a row. The team have finally laid a foundation they can build from. Changing manager now, unless Rodgers is bought out of his contract by another club, makes no sense.

However, the Everton and West Ham games are real acid tests. I see Man City as a bit of a free hit. If come the World Cup break we're back in the bottom 3 and have lost both crucial games against two of the more decent midtable sides then it's again time to change.

He could get us a comfortable top half finish and it wouldn't undo the damage his words have done to my opinion of him.

He showed the club and utter lack of respect, was offensive to fans, players our owners and made our financial position so clear that we never stood a chance in the summer.

But... he's clearly going nowhere and I get the feeling the players have realised that too. Just get through this season and hopefully he or we make a call on things in the summer.

I can see the likes of Spurs (conte will get bored) and potentially England having vacancies in the summer that would appeal to him.

Thing for me is what the board class as acceptable in our next four games. Man City is a free hit, but if we lose that and lose to West Ham and Everton we are probably back at the bottom and back to square one... we could even be out of the cup.

We are 2 points above the relegation zone, with 2 teams below us having a game in hand on us. We have just played our easy run of fixtures and are now entering a difficult patch.

Yes, we should be thankful that we are finally getting points on the board but people on here criticising those who are 'Rodgers out' are being very short sighted, we will likely be in the relegation zone again in 3 game weeks time based on fixtures (and will most likely still be there midway through the season)

This would be better if BR had to perform the Clash's seminal classic SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO? Straight after the final whistle after every game (first team and development team)? And then the crowd votes with their giant foam hands.

He's got a long way to go to win me back over. Being 16th/17th in the league with this squad isn't good enough. However, with the recent run of form we can turn the heat down on a bit.

No definitely no, his time is up. As I have said there are ten teams in a relegation fight and as we have seen , our attacking threat among the bottom teams is easily the strongest. We need a manager now who will consolidate our recent defensive improvement. If we do that , we will be fine. No, we probably won't beat the top two they are just better than we are, but we should be at least competitive against all the rest.

People talking like we are rocking up to play Real Madrid, when we go to West Ham and Everton.

West Ham have 11 pts points this season, in the last 22 PL games they have won 5 games and taken 22 points.

Everton have taken 13 points this season and in the last 22 PL games they have won 7 and taken 27 points.

We have have won 7 in the last 22 PL games and taken 27 points.

We can win those games as much as we can lose them.

Which one of these games did we not deserve to win? You really need to stop getting so hung up on xG

Leeds had loads of shots that were nothing. We made two good saves and the Justin block on line yesterday but we ran out comfortable.

You'd be the first to kill Brendan for coming out and saying we had better XG against Brentford or Southampton and not win.

I think most of us who think Brendan should go haven't changed our position. Fortunately he seems to have accepted that, after blaming everyone but himself for our disastrous start to the season, that his reputation as a 'top' coach depends on us avoiding relegation. He cannot hide from the fact that he still has a very strong squad at his disposal. Should he be kept on for the rebuild that has to be undertaken in the summer, whether we avoid relegation or not,...absolutely not! He is not the man to take us forward. The club will not move him on until they have a suitable replacement lined up. Our recent form underlines the quality we have in our squad and it provides the board with a little more breathing space to make the right decisions moving forward. Bottom line is Rogers has burned his boats here but timing is everything.

i believe that the squad has the quality to be far away from the relegation positions. It should never have been near the bottom!

Amartey, Faes and Ward will return to the bottom low then!

people r v short sighted, if the fixtures r reversed, they would have praised rodgers all over and then throw him off the bus.

I'm sticking to my initial comment 7 or more points come November, I'm happy to stick

We've managed that -

Now it's up to Top , nothing written on here will alter that

Awful start and he whinged a lot about almost everything. But, and don't jump down my throat, he has seemingly sorted the defence recently (last 3 games). We are scoring goals and we did have a bloody awful transfer market. If he gets results, 3 - 4 or more points vs West hame and Everton then we shoukd be okay in the table. Not expecting anything vs Man C.

Finishing 11th 12th this season is prob where our squad is. We have lost Fofana and Schmeichel who were 2 key players. We aren't a top 6 squad at the moment. We need a few quality additions to even try and compete top end again.

Enjoy the trip, love or hate Brendan he ain't going anywhere this year.

Go.

I'm happy we're looking slightly less likely to get relegated. And if we start beating half-decent mid-table teams then I'll be even happier.

Yet we've only beaten really poor, relegation-bound teams--the exact circumstances at the end of last season.

I'd rather get someone in now to start the rebuild of the club and culture. If we can stay up I'm happy to wait--but it's a tough call.
