I've made my stance quite clear throughout and I haven't changed it, but he's not even close at this point and there's no way he's going after that if he's going to survive those first seven.

Lets just hope we don't live to regret it.

Think he gets until the World Cup after recent upturn in results. Games against Everton and WHam are the real acid test of where we are.

With all due respect we should be beating the sides we have beaten recently.

And that is where entitlement comes in…SHOULD is a lazy, unknowledgable

football fans term…

If the last 7 years haven’t taught you and others something…:dunno:

FT match thread’s first 4-6 pages, have become tedious to eggs-on-faces

historic punditry. Complimented by should-plastics…

Everytime we win/result,we hear about if the oppo did this or that….

We are as good as where we finish & periods of the season will show us..

shoulds & Ifs, stay in the poor man’s posts…

If he wins games 4-0 for the next few months, then all is forgiven and I will willingly have his babies. But the moment we are mathematically safe from relegation, I just know I’ll cheat on him 🥴🤷

Even if we qualified for Europe I don’t think I’d like Rodgers. It’s a curious thing. There’s a clip of him being quite vindictive to a local reporter from a while back, which I think shows his true colours. I imagine him being like that to Soyuncu or anyone who dares to criticise his decision making.

I think the fact is he has now earned and deserves the chance to take us up to mid table.

Still in the relegation battle by Christmas and he's gone

But it's a clean slate for me... Sort of... Although don't like him at all and will be harsher on him than most managers but it's about what's best for the club.

I'm abstaining. My biggest worry was that the players and Brendan had downed tools and just didn't care anymore. I think it is clear from the last few games that isn't the case.

I could accept that some of the early season results were down to players being unsettled due to the speculation and frustration around the transfer window. However the performances and manner of the defeats were truly depressing and I genuinely didn't expect us to turn it around.

Now the results have picked and we clearly have some fight and desire back, however there is still a lot of areas of concern. Every performance is littered with basic mistakes and I don't know if this is a lack of quality or a symptom of a lack of clarity from the manager. Rodgers is again flogging those same players he did last season to the detriment of our Europa conference league run. He's willing to mix it up with Daka and Vardy, but the rest of the side has a clear first choice in each position a fixed formation and you're going to alienate and piss of players like Nacho, Praet, Soyuncu.

Threes wins against the leagues most abysmal teams. Dont get me wrong it's a start but I want to see some results against some better teams before I even start to change my mind.

So at worst we will finish 4th from bottom according to your post...I'd take that

No. As soon as we get a quality replacement lined up he has to go. Can't be trusted with a rebuild next summer. Meantime even with him at the helm hopefully the quality in our squad will be enough to keep us up.

I'm still out and have been for a while. It will take alot more than a few wins against the dregs of the league. Of course I'm always delighted when we win but I still can't bring myself to forgive him for his behaviour at the start of the season.

Pissing off players,is the baggage all managers have…

In each squad, some players will miss out

due to managers bias/favouritism/ preferences…

In the end it boils down to managers choice…It doesn’t mean it’s wrong for that

manager.

one thing to remember, any manager is looking for “his” idea of the game day selection meshing either immediate,or further down the line..

A fans thoughts & opinions, are not based on what the manager’# thoughts & ideology are. Every fan deems himself an expert, without seeing what the manager

strives too…Top 5-6 clubs managers have a wider scope of selection choices,so can implement his ideology easier..

Been to two games so far this season - Notts Forest and today. Won both 4-0. Don't understand the criticism. It's a stay for me!

You do understand that the league table doesn't only take into account the games you've been to right?

Another poll with less than even 500 participants, but some dozen will claim

80% of the fan+base believes this or that..

You 3-500 must feel right important…!!

There's pissing off players when you're playing well, but when you are utter garbage for 8 games and you have seasoned internationals getting ignored whilst you watch the same players make the same mistakes over and over again.

Gillies,Bloomfield,O,Neil….etc why even Ranieri..

plus 1000s of oppo managers…Their CVS from ex-players take some reading…

you don’t count a managers achievements or failings on players who occasionally,or completely lost game time..And Anyone can make an Agenda fit..!

I'm sure next Saturday will bring some people back to reality.

Oh, and then Everton & West Ham too, by which point we'll be back at the bottom.

You don’t know that unless the sample is the same. I would vote no for instance but I don’t seem able to.

yea fair point I was taking the sample as a general indication of feeling on the forum, but obviously it doesn’t track individual views.

If we beat Man City 4-0 I'll name my next kid Brendan (regardless of gender).

Or if you want to be kinder to a girl, you could trailblaze and bring Brendan back into fashion!
