Rodgers has bought himself some time. That’s all.

He needs to deliver a statement win or two in the next three games to get the fans properly onside.

If we are back in the relegation zone at the World Cup break, he’ll be back in the firing line. And justifiably so.

Any other manager and he would have been out of the door by now. Top obviously loves him. The last two results have been progressive but against very poor opposition so I'm not getting overexcited. He’s still in the bad books.

2 points off the bottom with man city and two tough away games to come. For me I'm happy form has picked up, but we'll need to move further from the relegation places by the world cup before he starts winning me back.

We don’t need one after every single game. Our fans are not that fickle.

Nono... we do.

There is a point where one's patience is exhausted.

I am happy to say that I am firmly in the 'in' camp right now

So, Brendan has met my target.

I shall now renew my expectations....

9 more points and still in the cups by the end of the year.

Threes wins against the leagues most abysmal teams. Dont get me wrong it's a start but I want to see some results against some better teams before I even start to change my mind.

Yep. But I was Rodgers in before this season. Even acknowledging the bad hand he was built, he seemed to not care, made awful substitutions, and the team was throwing away points like they were radioactive.

If I see him start to care, and the team to play to their potential, and we aren't in a relegation fight in February, I will be more supportive. A good cup run, or two, would also get me on board.

I want to be Rodgers In, I really do. But I am not there yet.

I think as well the likes of Leeds and Wolves and Villa all having a wobbly in recent games has dragged them all in. We could be cut adrift by now, but thankfully if we can improve over a period of time then there are clearly lots of teams poorer than us.

I believe he is a top coach. But, it's maybe gone beyond results now. It was his petulant, downcast demeanour post-summer that's his downfall. When, as manager of the club, he needed to take it on the chin, and present a unified upbeat message to the team and to the world outside.

Same goes for Amartey, Faes and Ward.

Instead of saying they played well i think it is more due to the poor chance conversion of the weak teams’ attackers—- they dont have any prolific scorers.

Let’s see how it goes against Man city, and Hammers and Toffee away from home

The best situation all round is that we get out this mess and he goes at the first chance he gets. Which after the banners and the rest of it he absolutely will do.

He isn't going anywhere for now and as bad as it was a few weeks ago, and it was horrific, he deserves credit for the past few results and the Forest game. I'm just so relieved we are looking so much better again.

When you look at how poor leeds, forest(away) and wolves r defensively and their shootings are, i think any decent teams would have defeated them.

Doesnt mean anything.

He’s favourite to be next England manager with sky bet.
This wouldn’t surprise me at all as I think Southgate will be gone after the World Cup.

Probably our best chance of getting him taken off us.

you could say the same for Brentford, Southampton and Bournemouth etc but the team still has to turn up

Lol how fickle are we? In the space of 2-3 games it’s gone from 95%+ wanting him gone to now close to 50/50 🤣

You don’t know that unless the sample is the same. I would vote no for instance but I don’t seem able to.

It’s amazing how often we’re scoring from 1 in 10, 20, 50 chances.

6 goals from 5 shots on target on the last 2 games is remarkable.

We’ve got an incredibly talented squad and even despite this run (against dogshit opposition) we’ve been fortunate.

Rodgers will never have us playing better than the sum of our parts again and he hasn’t for 18 months.

I’m pleased we’ve got points on the board as relegation is a possibility but we’re not going to sustain this.

I think the biggest problem is the relationship with the fans. It's gone past a point of repair. No pro Rodgers chants or claps and he has stopped coming to see the fans. Can't see that being rectified which, for me, is a big issue.

The other thing I dread is him rebuilding the team next summer when key players leave and others are out of contract. I want a different manager to be in charge.

I can see him last until the end of the season as long as we are avoiding relegation but would hope we show some ambition for the future. Rodgers is not the man to take us any further or rebuild.

Couple of decent results  but he’s said some outrageous things recently that’s going to leave a very bitter taste in some peoples mouths including possibly Top and the Board…you can have the team playing great and still earn the wrath of the board- like Pearson did after that fantastic end of season form we had.
