Mexico seem similar to Denmark. Do all the hard yards to defend and be organised, but lack a lot of firepower up front to actually threaten a side when they do have the ball in the opponents half.

Eh, shouldn't be though really tbf. Chucky and Raul good enough to be terrorising this fairly average Argie defence if they'd been braver. 

 

The Danes would kill for forwards as good as Jimenez and Lozano.

Alvarez and Fernández have made a difference to Argentina since coming on when they did. A more functional midfielder and more mobility up front.

Lozano is a good player but when he has the ball today he had no support. Was almost doing everything himself. Jimenez used to be much better than he is now.

If Argentina go through, I still don't see them making it past the quarters. They're being carried by Messi. And I get it, he's the GOAT and their talisman, but guys like De Paul and Mac Alister just aren't good enough. Spain would eat this team, and France would bulldoze them with their star individuals.

Only if the Saudi's don't win. I'd still fancy the Saudis after seeing them play in both games. This Mexico team is not the best. Poland I think will rue their missed penalty against Mexico.
