Depressing that racism appears to have put a premature end to this England International’s playing career, but ultimately uplifting that he is training unprivileged kids and therefore still involved with the game he loves.  I can’t seem to upload the link unfortunately.

Gloucester had a ropey start to the season it seems.

Real try feast v Bristol .

Bristol have coped extremely well with the loss of 3 of their star plays, especially when 2 of those were pivotal to their game plan. Sam Worsley was excellent yesterday covering for the injured AJ Mac kicking all of the 7 conversions.

Bristol & Lam are a club that really do put the onus on the players to play what is in front of them, yes they have their set plays but Lam does allow them to go off script.

We do hear this more in Rugby and I think the understanding of this would help non Rugby fans that lay blame entirely on their football teams manager, that actually you can drill them to an inch of their lives midweek but come match day and once you cross the white line the majority of the game is down to the players themselves and how well they adapt to what’s in front of them.

Really looking forward to the ENG squad selection on the 26th Oct for autumn internationals.

It must be the hardest selection for any ENG manager in years such is the absolute quality in virtually every position, there will be some big big names left out.

Just looking at Tigers v Bath today and in the wing position Arundell, OHC & Radwan all international quality yet probably miss out which is crazy.

Arundell might be an outside bet for making it but Borthwick’s been loyal to Freeman, Sleighthome & Feyi-Waboso so far you then have Muir, Roebuck, Murley, Malins, Beard

He’s going to have some head scratching to do in every position

watching Sarries v Sale and Sarries young Eng U20 winger Caluori could even be rewarded for a look to the future

edit 2 Caluori didn’t do himself any harm in getting a pick with 5 of the 10 tries Sarries smashed Sale with, he was awesome for a 19yr old

A good, but unconvincing win for England against the Aussies.

Shame it was behind a TNT pay wall, the sport can't moan about falling interest when so many club and national games are behind subscriptions

England were good defensively and had the most of the possession, but too sloppy offensively

Hm...ref doing his best to let NZ back into this one, it would appear.

Thankfully not!

Pollock is such a Vardy-type player - shithousery and skill in equal prodigious measure. Great to have.

squad that could beat England in their sleep and he serves that shite up

Yeeaaaah, maybe try that now mun.

This is the problem with Scotland, got high on beating England during England's banter years and thought it was a bigger watershed moment than it was.

Said before and I'll say again, Scotland realistically have a ceiling and they're very close to it.

Don't mistake this for hate, I absolutely love the Scottish fans, it's brilliant whenever they come to Cardiff, they're a great team to watch that have come so, so far since the 00s. Plus, I'm thoroughly jealous of how much their union have their shit together. The mileage that Scottish rugby have gotten out of exceptionally limited resources is crazy.

The fact that a rugby nation of Scotland's size has even gotten to a place where they can feel disappointed at falling short of winning things is remarkable.

But I'm sorry, the media absolutely don't help. This narrative that Scotland should be winning things is nuts. Townsend isn't wrong, there is an entitlement to an extent to this notion that Scotland should be beating the best. Like, what on earth was all that hype to the build up of the All Blacks game?

Competing for third / fourth in the Six Nations and pushing for world cup quarter finals makes absolute sense for a country with Scotland's resources. There's no shame in that. There's a reason you're so dependent on over seas converts.

Think Townsend had done a seriously under appreciated job. Sure, a truly, truly elite head coach might take you a step further and perhaps be the difference that gets you the odd Six Nations win in a favourable year but why would a coach at that level turn up at Scotland when there's far more attractive jobs in world rugby?

Think Scotland fans desperate for Toonie to go are due a bit of a reality check personally.

Don't get me wrong that's a solid write up, but im slightly more perplexed as to how I was that hammered at 5:15pm on a Sunday

Genuinely can't even remember where I was when I wrote that and not fully sure I even watched the whole thing lollol
