The reduction in the number of Tier A sporting events that must be shown on free to air TV in last decade or so is shocking.

I don't know what their domestic rugby coverage is like but I find TNT's sports stuff particularly naff.

The issue is that terrestrial TV just doesn't have enough money for it or isn't willing to commit.

It shouldn't just (italicised for emphasis) be about the money though, if should also be about accessibility to allow sportto be seen and grow as a result.

But of course, it so often is.

Oh for the days of Rugby Special and Nigel Starmer-Smith.

(So sad that he is now in a nursing home for dementia).

With all the unions losing 10's of millions last year, its no surprise they are going to the highest bidder.

Still pretty rubbish, and I doubt it's going to bring the ticket prices down. The Welsh and Scottish public are already beginning to baulk at the prices, and they are no where near Twickenham.

It's called Holy Mackerel and it was written by Brian Bennett the drummer in The Shadows. He also wrote another that you'd definitely recognise as a keen golfer...

So basically it's Australia vs Leinster Lions

Seems that way

how on earth did saints beat them in their backyard ?

also, would this squad have a record number of lions players not born in Great Britain/ireland ?

Like when Gatland basically picked the Wales side for a test ?

Worked tbf.

In fairness though, Ireland are a long way ahead of the rest of the Lions nations. It should be pretty much Ireland and Friends.

Agree on both accounts .

But I remember people kicking off saying it wasn’t right to have so many players from one team .

From a Scotland perspective, I'm dissapointed Darcy Graham didn't make it, but surprised Cummings and Sione made it considering their injuries.

I would have had Ford or Tom Jordan over Marcus Smith.

Gallagher would put Boris Johnson to shame for ridiculous slogans and meaningless drivel.

Have a read of this for the sort of shite they come up with.

They think this shite is groundbreaking. They have these quotes or tenets as they like to call them stenciled onto the walls around their offices. #2 always reminded me of Acquiesce by Oasis.

And just to go and litter further number 21 made me laugh even more, especially when the person responsible for this got promoted shortly after.
