Watched it after the boxing last night.

The Argentinians were excellent, but SA were so frustrating.

Time after time they got into promising positions and then launched a high kick to contest and hope for a knock on = scrum = penalty at the scrum = 3 points. Rinse and repeat.

It was karma that Libbock missed that easy 3 points to win it with 2 min to go.

The Aussies put up a good performance in the morning that shows the Lions tour might not be the walkover everyone expects next summer.

return fixture is next week… Sprinboks will  be feeling very frustrated and it could be an absolute hammering..

however it is worth noting that in the unlikely event that Argentina win, they will win the championship!

I like Joe Marler but he's made a right tit of himself with those haka comments. As if the All Blacks need any more motivation on Saturday

I remember Richard Cockerall giving it large to the All blacks whilst they were doing the Haka.  He was fairly young and fairly fresh into the England team and Martin Johnson was not pleased with him at all!  It definitely gave them a bit more fire in their belly, and Martin knew it would..

It feels like it's just Joe Marler being Joe Marler and stirring the pot for the craic. I don't think he even believes what he said to be honest.

Been reading/watching about Ed Slater and his MND recently. Here's his podcast with Jim Hamilton 2 years ago and then on BBC with Billy 12 trees a few months ago.

How he's deteriorated is so sad. What a fvckin horrible disease.

That being said, the NZers tend to get more than their fair share of spawny last minute affairs against a lot of teams.

Didn't Ireland get done by them in the last few twice running?

Considering this Kiwi side have played 7 high quality games to gel since England last played together I thought England did well.

It did hinge on the timing of the replacements, the front row were winning the battle up to the point they all got replaced, I know they will always be replaced and by decent players but maybe that point should have been longer than 12minutes after the break.

Same with Smith, I’m sure he could have lasted the full 80 but bringing on Ford with 20 still to play (& I like Ford) just gave the Kiwis that lift that we were going to hold and just play out looking for the odd penalty.

Couldn’t fault the players efforts but Borthwick just needs to be a little braver on when he twists.

Why

Because of the way he opened up about his mental health struggles on the Sky documentary.

And he can be quite funny sometimes.

Ireland NZ H2H in the past 10 matches is 5 wins apiece.

Before that it was 28 played, no Ireland wins and 1 draw.

Opinion in the home country is that the bench is experienced but should have some players that might actually feature in the next WC instead of the likes of Henderson, Healy and O'Mahony. In my view when you play the likes of NZ, you just pick your best team, no? For teams of our stature we don't know when we might get a competitive chance to beat NZ again.

Penalties and poor handling cost us.

NZ were just far more consistent, and, deserved winners

Agreed, can't remember the last time we made that many handling errors.

Massive moment was O'Toole getting the head injury when he just came on for impact and Bealham having to come back on in the last 20 minutes against their fresh front row, not his fault, we just couldn't challenge any scrum after that. Though the way the game was going the ABs would have still won eventually.

What a bizarre last 5 minutes to the England Australia match.

Does there seem to be a lot more handling errors from teams in these autumn internationals than normal?

I watched the first half of.the eng aus game and saw the way we contrived to concede the lead from a position of control

decided to go to the supermarket rather than watch the second half - didn’t do myself any favours because I missed some great rugby but at least I didn’t put myself through that last five minutes

borthwick may not be long for the job - will they go for Cheka or Lancaster again ??
