Just googled it…. 1.92m apparently, so taller than Vestergaard!!!

You must have ended up on Rodgers' page. Heard he edits it himself.

Alves could be the fan sweetener that Enzo needs. 80 mins of turgid football, 2-0 up, then put him on to dazzle the crowd.

Problem with that scenario being anything other than fantasy is that, so far,  we never get to 2-0 after 80 mins of turgid football.  It's a catch-22 situation we're in, which might also might explain why we haven't seen the likes of Cannon on the pitch yet either.

Slightly concerned for the lad, this could very well end up being one of those situations where the timing just doesn't work out. You see it so often where for example we go down and give the perfect opportunity to someone like Alves to get game time, he gets another injury and we have to pull the trigger on bolstering in january, which then limits his chances, we get promoted and suddenly we are trying to stay up and can't risk the game time.

Really hopeful that he gets proper chances towards the latter end of the season or he could end up being another player that gets hyped up and ultimately leaves us because he never got a chance at the level we were at when he was fit. He's got plenty of years in him obviously but he needs solid game time.

I do think he will get a good run of games toward the end of the season though if he can get fit and we are still comfortable. Fingers crossed for him as he sounds exciting.

Recovery from the ACL was always going to be a bit stop - start, and i am sure expectations were managed around it. I think it will be a case of taking a few steps forward for the time being, and hopefully we see more game time towards the end of the year. Unless he is going on loan of course.

We never manage players loans well unless the player themselves forces it. Stolarczyk and Nelson have wasted this season pretty much, after both having good seasons in League Two last season - this season should have meant they got League One loans.

Never going out on loan as Enzo see him as his number 2.

@Chelmofox highly unlikely we loan out Alves.

I just think it's more a hint that he wants to move the other two keepers on as Stolarcyck is not exactly good with his feet.. he doesn't look at all ready and asking to play out from the back showed he wasn't a natural at that but still was clearly told to every time against Liverpool, it was ridiciulous how we didn't lose by 6/7 that night given how much he struggled.

Stolarcyck was fine against Huddersfield and in the other Milk cup games he played, and played a similar style. Think the club regard him highly. Baring in mind all the factors in that Liverpool game, I don't think he was anywhere near as bad as you made out.

Agree - just thought i would add it as you never know. Someone was on here saying they heard a rumour he might be off to Burton.

Judging him on 1 appearance against one of the best pressing teams in the Europe?

Was fine against Huddersfield, Tranmere and Burton, he showed good ability on the ball.

He's 100% number 2 this season, he may not a long term solution for number 2, but neither Ward or Iversen will get a look in under Enzo

We need to develop player either for the first team or to sell on, to complete.

I believe Enzo see developing our own as a necessity, rather than a luxury.

Both JJ and Ricardo had injuries after returning from their ACL - they seem fine now ( touch wood )

It expected to be stop start for alves

It’s typical to get other injuries when recovering from long term injuries, as the body is adapting.

Really feel for Alves and Braybrooke. Hope that Voice tw*t actually grows up. I see he was included in an England squad recently. He's young but it was such a malicious callous act. Outside of the football field there'd be all sort of 'interventions' for a young man exhibiting that sort of behaviour. He's instead been rewarded with a cap?!

why do you think Stolacyzk jumped 3 keepers in the pecking order? its because Enzo sees him as the next best at what he wants to do, he's going no where

Damn - really wanna see Alvez & braybrook get some game time/ exposure and ultimately succeed. I trust Enzo he knows their  potential and how much it  means to the fans. We keep the faith.

maybe the icing on the promotion cake is we see these 2 lads playing for us towards the end of the season.

Really have high hopes for Alves and Braybrook, such a shame the injuries but that's football! Hopefully bounce back and get some action towards the end of the season.

Hoping Braybrook could do a similar role to Winks.

Obviously there’s no ideal time to pick up injuries but for Alves and Braybrook I really feel their injuries have came at the worst possible time both for us as a club and them with regards to establishing themselves as first teamers! With us dropping down and a manager coming in who clearly believes in blooding youth I don’t think there could have possibly been a better time for either of them :(

If we can secure promotion early then would be a great opportunity for the two of them to get game time in men’s prope competitive football.

but they need to get fit first. We know that alves picked up a muscle injury - I think his second setback but not heard much about braybrooke getting some U21 minutes yet
