I know, but for example when Vestergaard is back, we'll have Stolarczyk, 3 defenders on the bench from Coady, Nelson, Doyle and Souttar, 3 midfielders from Hamza, Akgün, McAteer, Alves and 2 of Vardy, Cannon, Iheanacho.

We've such a ridiculous squad but unavailability has enabled plenty of academy players to be included this season, one advantage of our injuries 😂

Tempting fate here but our injuries have calmed down a bit this season compared to the last 2-3 years

I don’t see it happening for some time and probably not at all  - if we are done and dusted with a few games to spare then he may try some formations but I’d think more likely he tries players in his favoured set up to see if they can adapt to different positions (think wilf as an 8) rather than playing two strikers as you’d expect.  Infact, I’d think more likely to see him experiment with untried formations like 4-1-3-2 where the full back inverts to make the 3 into a 4 and other new fangled set ups rather than standard two up top.  He’s a thinker

I agree..he would tinker more with other positions..doublestrike maybe in a substitutes scenario…

Man City play with two up front, or at least Alvarez just behind Haaland

What formation would we play then to accommodate 2 strikers? Dropping one of the 8's and just playing 2 in midfield? Scoring goals hasn't been an issue for us in too many games so people suggesting we should play 2 strikers are trying to find an answer to a problem that isn't a problem to start with.

Why would Enzo completely change his tactics and system? He won't. No decent teams play 2 strikers anymore, the goals and attack threat tends to come from wingers at the best teams.

That’s exactly what I meant…read the other posts for context..:D

Picked up a muscle injury - out for 4 weeks

Normal to have small injuries after a ACL

This is definitely Rodgers’ fault

Will be another James Wesolowski, he will never fully recover properly.

Nice and cheery mate lol

I wonder if the extreme bulking up actually hasn’t done him as many favours as he was provably expecting.

He’ll be heavier now so little twists and turns will have more impact on the fragile ligaments etc.

It’s important to build up the muscle around the knee to protect and stabilise it. They will know exactly what they need to do to get him ready. As he goes through the rehab there will be small setbacks as it all comes together.

Personally I think the bulk he has done looks like something very much outside of what the club will have him do.

A lot of players have their own gyms/PT's these days.

When he came back Pre Season he'd gone full Leon Goretzka lol

"Will Alves, [too] after the Under-21 game, he got a muscle problem..

“They said to me [on Alves], three or four weeks. I don’t know [what the specific issue is]," Maresca added, rounding off the Foxes' latest injury update.

That immature scumbag who snapped his ACL didn't get anywhere near enough punishment for what he did.

That’s life unfortunately. There’s more than enough time for Alves to turn this around. I think as a fan base we just need to temper our expectations of him this season. Nelson is the breakthrough player this season.

Wesoloski broke his leg badly not a ACL injury so how can you compare them.

Twice didn't he?

He'll be back. Must be frustrating for him but when he's had a chance since the major injury he's looked a cut above, scoring goals, etc.

When he's in a place like Ricky and JJ are now, he'll be an absolute beast. Time is on his side, too.
