Very impressed with Keirnan's interview after the game on Prime. His apology to the fans was very sincere as you could tell from the anguish on his face.

Well done! A future captain I hope.

Admittedly not seen the interview, but the performance did absolutely nothing to make me think he’s future captain material. We badly lacked leadership on the pitch today, and that’s a lot more important than leadership in the media

Away from the captaincy chat, glad he was honest about it and didn't try to sugar-coat anything about it.

Guess it helps that's he a fan of the club and it might hurt more, but I hope the same harsh truths were said in the dressing room too, and not just by KDH.

The inability to use his right foot is a huge problem when teams press us like that.

He’s a local lad so that’s buying a bit of slack but if we want to not be in relegation dogfights year in, year out, he cant be a starter.

How in this day and age do players come through an academy so one footed?

KDH had another poor game today. Looked off the pace, lacked movement and steadfastly refuses to use his right foot. Still don’t full understand his role. He seems to play at times as the 2nd striker despite not having the attributes to play there. Despite being part of what appears on paper to be an overloaded left side with Thomas, Barnes and KDH, Newcastle ripped us apart on that side. He didn’t seem to offer anything in midfield meaning Newcastle could dominate Soumare and Tielemans with extra players.

Simple. We play 442 when out of possession, using KDH’s engine to start the press with whoever is playing ST.

In possession we’re a 433/4231with KDH as a 6.

But yes, he was poor today, and after a breakthrough season last year, he’s regressed horribly, to look like the player who 2 years ago I could never see as a first teamer at LCFC

Think the role he’s been asked to ply is stupid. Looks wrong to everyone watching which why so many think he doesn’t know what he’s doing

He’s fine, we had tactics today like teams did against us when we were 2nd in league. Arrogant towards opposition and were punished. Far too open and left central midfielders very exposed

**** his interview. He's shit. If he really cares he can donate a week's wages to a charity......of course he won't. The oldest trick in book.....play shit then give an 'honest' interview. ****ing jonjo shelvey special.

He's shit and is miles below the level. Lucky to be playing in the premier League.

It's weird you'd think the past 6 weeks would have been a good opportunity to spend every training session practicising receiving, passing and shooting with his right foot. I was only ever Sunday league at best but I was comfortable passing and shooting with both feet, could go both ways when I received the ball. I didn't think I have to keep this one my left every time at the expense of a good opportunity for the team going forward. To not be able to at the top level is hard to understand.

He’s not found his good form from last season. Not sure what’s happened to him. Maybe allowed the rest of the teams bad funk affect his confidence but yes looks a shadow of the player he was in his 1st season. Let’s be a little more patient with him.

Lefties tend to be far more one footed than right footed players , see Mahrez. I don't know why , its a brain thing. I agree though constant practise can improve things.

True we've had quite a few, Chilwell, Schlupp and Dyer also come to mind who avoided their right at all costs.

Mahrez and KDH should never be used as a comparison. Mahrez right knacker has more finesse than KDH left foot

The lad has regressed in the last few months. The ‘he isn’t good enough’ responses are jumping the gun. He has the ability to be a top level CM, he just needs the right coach to draw it out of him.

he has been ran into the ground not his fault.

My reading of comments on here is that baring Maddison , our entire squad is either too old, substandard or downright useless all led by a boneheaded manager. God help us.

He's nowhere near good enough to be a decent pl player nevermind a lcfc captain

Hasn't Rodgers put a 3 touch maximum rule on Alves
