Fvcking rough deal, that. As said, fan transport in this country needs a complete overhaul. We're treated as second class citizens.

I think this says it all really - nothing works in this country anymore.

Might be a daft question and I know the intention is a good away day with mates and beers. Do any of the lads drive? I live in north Wales and Leicester to Liverpool is a similar trip so would be £30-35 in fuel. Not bad if split between 5. I would prefer to do that than miss. I’m driving myself as the trains are useless with an 8pm kick off.

You should sue them. It doesn't matter what staffing problems they have, That's their responsibility.

You made the Booking in good faith and they took the Booking regardless of what they say now.

They've also had the booking for weeks now without acknowledging a problem until it's too late to find an alternative.

I'd say you have a very good chance of being successful in a law suit. But you need to consult a Solicitor.

You would have thought that if it was a mistake there end, they would honour it just this one time because it was their mistake.

Have you rang around other coach companies or mini bus hire places?

We tried but the coach company said the refund would take 3 working days.

Asking 53 lads or a few of the lads to front another 1.7k or so for another bus wasn't really gonna happen, so not much else we can do.

I understand your logic here. But you could still ask the guys?

There going to get a refund so they know the monies coming back.

I get that you got screwed over by Woods. Rubbish company. But your complaining and have done nothing extra about it.

I would have rallied the troops and rang every coach and mini bus place in the Leicestershire area.

If some of the guys can't make it, that can't be helped. You were screwed over by Woods.

I know its not ideal and not the day out you were looking for, but I totally agree with this.

10 of you out of the 50 must drive?

It's better than missing the game totally.

We don't know 100% the money is coming back, it should be but the way Woods have acted you can't be 100% sure.

We've rang plenty, no availability, the couple that did looked dodgy as hell and had loads of negative reviews on trustpilot and wanted full money upfront. Trying to ring 53 lads whilst most of us are at work to get that amount of money organised was very unlikely to happen.

It is what it is, Woods are a disgrace.

I would go to Leicester Mercury about it.

Okay, something went wrong and your booking shouldn't have been taken. It's their fault and they should make it right.

Unfortunately, they seem to be just another buisness who doesn't care. I wont be using them in a hurry if needed.

With such short notice I’d imagine the best thing would be to drive in convoy if at least 11 of your party have licenses and vehicles. I get that a percentage of you wouldn’t be able to drink, but better than staying at home I guess. 5 per car on average with £160 per car for fuel and parking. Might turn out quite enjoyable in the end, but it’s a real shitter that Woods have done this to you. It’s put me off the company.

But then 10 out of the 50 have to miss banging the Moretti back and nobody wants to miss out on a boozy away day. Not to mention all the rest of it!

feel for yas lads. It’s awful

I think it could be possible that exclusivity would exist in a contract, the club don't get any money from the 53 going up to Liverpool, whereas they do on Fox Travel or whatever it's called nowadays. I imagine it is also a huge earner for the company or at least something they deem prestigious. Woods wouldn't have sacked an individual if it wasn't a big mistake.

...it seems the inference is that of embezzlement!!!

If the staff member was not profiting from the deal then I  can't see why he would be sacked.. I am not sure if a booking error is a sackable offence, unless he was previously on a warning.

The reluctance not to contact the club is perhaps an opportunity missed. This is a potential situation for the club to gain good publicity and supporters getting a chance to watch their club play.

I feel for them too.

But they've spent over £1500 on football tickets between them.

If 10 drive and have to miss out on the booze, they'll all have to meet up before/after a home game and the designated drivers don't have to put their hand in their pocket all day

I know it isn't what they'd planned, but get to the match and get behind the boys.

We contacted the club, Jim said there’s nothing they can do.

Because you can’t booze on the clubs coaches. You can’t stop off at a pub.

You can’t booze on any coach which is principally for a journey to a sporting event. Maximum eight people before it’s applies as well. Remember the crackdown on it in the early Wembley playoff finals

Same applies for trains but technically it would have be a charter train to apply rather than a public service.

Hence why a lot of coach services organised by supporters clubs/mates do the latter - stop off at a pub on the way

Fox Travel, 8 litres of 'Tradional lemonade' tipped down the drain and filled up with lemon Hooch ;)

...seems like the next move will be to go over his head!!!

I can understand not setting a precedent but Susan Whelan would be the next on the list. If this gets back to Top he would make something happen, it is worth a try.

Why don’t you all hijack the LCFC coach, hurl the players off it and then eleven of your line up at Anfield. There’s no way you can do any worse than the millionaires playing for us

1 bottle of vodka, split between several bottles of coke
