Agree - maybe a twitter/social media post for an outreach to any fan who still backs Top to come on and have a sensible debate

There never is one, that's why. These people just perform mental gymnastics and whataboutery and then default to their position of "back the club no matter what" as if the club and the owner are somehow synonymous.

Quite nice to hear a bit of realism on there TBH. Many of their guests seem to fail to grasp the reality of the situation entirely or they're just "back the lads" merchants. 


I'm sure the team at RL wholeheartedly agree with the sentiments (they have to watch this garbage every week, after all) but they've obviously got to try and retain some balance and be careful about what they say. Heaven forbid you upset the football club or its mighty leader.

The old saying "misery loves company" really does ring true with the pod these days, doesn't it? But it's true: when you're utterly demoralised and depressed about what's happening to our club, it really does help to know that others feel just as shit about it as you do.

 

Plus, the hippo thing made me laugh out loud, which was rather unfortunate as at the time I was on a packed commuter train in which everybody else was completely silent.

Haha we had this discussion between ourselves the other day on whether we'd be very popular if we'd done the pod when we were any good. I certainly wouldn't have much to say hahahahaa.

I don’t think some realise the mess this club is in, and there’s no way the board room turnout around…

 

We are getting relegated, because there simply isn’t enough players in the squad that give a shit.

 

We’ve been here before…. Under Rodgers, Under Ruud and here we are again. Can’t score, concede poor goals, and have a shit attitude. 
 

The manager is ****ing clueless as are the owners, a potential points deduction on the way, and with no spending this season it would suggest we’re sailing close to the wind again……. 
 

Dropping into league one, would be a catastrophic disaster, a club with our wage bill has no business being in this league, let alone in league one…. The financial pressure would be immense, we would likely breach PSR again, but to a level league one wouldn’t have ever seen…. We simply won’t recover and will likely end up in a situation where Top is having to make redundancies and drastic cost cutting to bring the outgoings down, which we simply won’t be able to do…. We said we would never get relegated under Rodgers, we did…..

 

We’ve no evidence at all that this situation will be salvaged, we’ve had a half arsed “message” from Top, and that’s it. All we’ve got is blind hope that somehow this team will somehow find some fight from somewhere. 
 

The only hope we have is somehow hiring an elite coach who gets more out of the group…. Other than that, what have we actually got? The academy is being misused to boot on top of all of this, so we can’t even say that, because any player worth anything will just **** off at a cut price because we’re not playing them. 
 

As someone said, took a while for the titanic to sink, we’ve hit the ice burg and are currently trying to use spoons to clear the water.

Mix of reasons. Young kids so getting to games, I probably only get to 5-10 max a season and always various shit on so i'll regularly miss watching it on Sky an'all. 

 

Also, every game i have watched in recent months we have lost and those I haven't (Sheff Utd aside) we get a result 😂😂😂
