Lee’s interview was so incredible heartbreaking at times yet so uplifting at others, a powerful conversation that will stay with me for a very long time.

Thank you, Lee, @Ric Flair, Jake, and Jord.

As others have said, an extraordinary interview with Lee. Incredibly powerful stuff.

I completely agree with Jordan and Jake on Hamza. He's one of the few genuine leaders we have and could be very important for us this season. His performance and leadership on Saturday were immense.

Ok.

Well...where's the link to the episode and is using a Podcast easy to use for someone who never used one before?

Here. If that link or Spotify on the whole don't work for you then there's Apple Podcasts if you have one of their devices, or lots of other free apps (I use Pocket Casts). I didn't mean to be rude but given the subject matter I think hearing it in Lee's own words will make more sense and be far more impactful than having someone paraphrase it

Around 37 mins onwards is when Lee is on the pod. Thanks for sticking the link up for @Wymsey

Important episode, covering some very important topics. Well done to those involved, honestly was a bit taken aback by the rawness of it all but I think that really drove the message home.

On the (much less important) football side of things, I completely agreed with this misnomer of “draining the swamp”. Utter guff. Having a clean out is very much different from removing players who are very much detrimental to the success of the club, we have been unsuccessful in shifting any of those in the latter category. So I don’t know if we can really call this summers outgoings a huge success, whilst the bomb squad still very much exists.

I was also thinking re: the lack of comms, whether or not it was in the clubs interest not to disclose that we were working in very fine PSR margins. Perhaps when the window shuts, they’ll come clean. But, this remains to be seen as was alluded to.

What a fantastic pod, once again.

Shining a light on mental health for men is always a win in my eyes.

Lee was a great guest but also a special shout out for Jord also articulating his own experiences too.

Jake was spot on about the “draining of the swamp”, we’ve moved players on for a fee (who knew we were allowed to do that hey) but until we get some of the overpaid leeches like Faes, Soumare etc, off the books, we’re far from draining the swamp.

WoW, that was a hard but excellent listen this week. Well done guys, i think you all came across very well. Sad to hear about Lee (and Jord) mental health is so hard to understand and as people we really should be doing more about it. Its great people are talking about it more nowadays as it really helps the people who are still trying to comfront their own issues.

I've seen shouts from Leicester fans saying things like "Fair play Rudkin" and "Rudkin has played a blinder" but I don't see how anyone could say that when the likes of Faes, Vestergaard, Winks and BDCR are here still. Four players on large wages, no intention to renew contracts and stinking attitudes. The only player we've sold with that mentality is Coady.

Yes it's great that we've got so much money for McAteer, Justin, Ndidi and Hermansen but ultimately we're a worse squad and dressing room without those players.

I support the football team. I don't support the club's back pockets. About time we got a few players in to make up for these players that have left. It feels as though the fanbase keeps telling themselves "It's alright because we've got X who isn't that bad". We need fresh faces desperately to pick the squad and fanbase up.

Not listened to it all yet but did the first hour this morning. I’d just finished running and was walking home when the Lee bit about the bridge came on. Ffs was walking through Ashby with tears streaming folks must’ve thought I’d done my hammy or something. Really great listen and fair play to everyone who made it happen.

The podcast is a great listen. I love podcasts but don't usually listen to football related ones, but I always catch the latest BSLB.

It's a nice mix with Jake being very polished, Ric a bit of a wildcard and Jordan somewhere in between - Works really well.

Hope it continues!

Did I hear Jordan correctly on RL on Monday, I would swear he said Winks has to start on Saturday?
I am sure he has previously said that Winks is one of those players he is not having at any price because of his crap attitude.

I also noticed this. It's amazing what another 45mins of Soumare can do to change a man's mind...

I think as mere fans we are always guilty of this. Things quickly change. From a moral point of view and when the transfer window was open, Winks future here looked all but done and therefore we were better to plan without him. He's stayed, he's impacted the game greatly on Saturday when Soumare and Skipp have flopped (not for the first time) so the temptation is to use his talents and not make the game otherwise even harder for ourselves?!
