Personally, feels to me that for the past few years the clubs been running on the back of what Vichai built. Now that we're getting to the point where Top has to make decisions of his own he seems out of his depth.

We won the FA Cup under Top. You mean the past 6 months don't you, not the last few years?

The executive level of the club certainly needs a refresh, but that doesn't mean Top should sell, we've seen so many awful owners in this sport that'd it'd be dangerous right now to assume we'd do better.

Bingo. There’s a huge case that the tiers that feed into the board need a massive sweep up on so many levels. There’s so so much middle management at the club which is bad rubbish.

I don’t think it is directly down to the owners but those around them….can we start to appreciate the hundred years plus history of this club alongside the last ten ?

As i said, running on the back of what Vichai built. Not saying Top didn't have an impact but he's mainly left things how his dad left them.

Left it how his Dad left them? You mean off the back of winning the league? Daft. He's overseen Seagrave which we can argue to the high hills about how successful that has been on injuries etc but everyone was waxing lyrical when it was being built and opened. I think the injury issues could be attributable to Dave Rennie departing which was Rodgets call I think.

He's spent money to build a training ground fair enough. End of the day, his decision making as an owner of a premier league club leaves a lot to wonder.

Top needs help. I've said it in the other thread.

His board consists of a loyal CEO, a consistent FD, a first time GC and three promotions within. That doesn't mean they are not good at their job - far from it. But anyone who has taken home a NED payment for 12 days work understands how important the role can be. This club needs an outside voice - I dont know if we have any in at the moment but its certainly an strategy we should be looking at. The executive level may have reached its ceiling and needs a third voice.

There are issues with communication with the fans - that doesnt mean Top or Susan need to come out and say "we are not sacking Brendan because..." but fans are feeling disillusioned - not all but some and its very important that side improves given the nature of this game. Of course, that disillusion is amplified by the results on the pitch.

I'm not overly loyal to any owner, player or manager. I mean my heart was broken when we sold Joachim and Heskey - no one stays forever. There was a time when this forum was up in arms when the Foxes Trust were asking the right questions re: the Mandaric takeover. Things can change and if they do, so be it. Pretending the impact on us is significant just by a change in personal is not right. I think there are lessons to be learnt this season and because of the quality of the CEO, I am hoping we do that.

Top should sell if he wants to and if he wants to stay and can stay, great as well.

Club needs a root and branch clear out from top to bottom.

Top is too loyal.

It's the people under Top who are the problem and need moving on.

Be careful what you wish for.

I mean, they’ve cleared hundreds of millions of debt. Twice. They are not blood sucking vampires. Admittedly  I’m hoping there will be a time that investing in infrastructure will be done so we can increase our budget for the playing side.. but I certainly don’t want them gone and I’m perplexed as to why someone would..

Most, if not, all owners clear debt though.

It's not twice though is it because this most recent time he cleared debt the club owed to King Power which is him anyway lol

I agree on the NED point, probably one or two. I'd sack Rudkin but keep Susan Whelan. I dont think the current FD is much of an issue, every clubs finances are run on a knife edge in the premier league its the status quo with FFP.

In.

Their financial backing isn't the issue, it's their decision making which needs improving. For me, we need more 'Football Men' at the Club, bridging the gap between the Management of the Players and the Management of the Club, the Manager has too much power currently.

We don't appear to have any Long-Term planning at the Club, and a Manager is never going to prioritise that because they know it's the Short-Term which ultimately decides their job. We're 'too nice' as a team, and I think that Culture is set right at the top of the Club, Top is too nice and too loyal.

Wanting owners to leave who have taken us from second tier mediocrity to winning three trophies (including the biggest two in English football) in the last seven years is moronic.

that is tier 2 football club mentality

Well, it's quite clearly not. The only other way we could have achieved what we have under King Power is via sportswashing. There aren't any other owners of similar size football clubs, with similar size wealth in this country that have achieved the success we have in that period of time under King Power.

Well the club still owed the debt didn’t we? If something had gone wrong ( like the fans turning on him) and he decided to  walk away we would have still owed them the money.  That is no longer the case so, yes, it was twice .

Out of interest, would you rather we were sold to a different owner, who could splash the cash and gets us to compete for top 6?

Everyone who loves KP so much. We'll see if you still worship them when we're in the championship and they decide to sell up

well if they did decide to sell up we’d be a great club to buy as they have cleared our debt for us. It makes us a very attractive proposition.
