...saved your fvcking bacon, bigtime.

(a better save than any I can recall him making for City)

Any other sentences you need me to complete?

How about "... really should have come for the corner we conceded from after five minutes?"

These uncompetitive matches serve no purpose at all.

There's possibly an argument that they do.

Just look at Luxembourg this qualification period.

Incredibly unlucky not to make it.

And why shouldn't a country have a right to compete?

Edit...

Just look at Afghanistan in the Cricket World Cup

Not sure what cricket's got to do with it. Anyway, there are five teams in the 10 groups who have no points from 41 matches; they are hardly competing, even if they do have the right.

Because playing better opposition makes you better.

OK, San Marino totally make my argument invalid.

But Luxembourg and the Afghanistan cricket team kind of prove my point.

With all due respect, if you don't know about it, look at the story of the Afghan cricket side.

Playing better teams makes you better. Eventually. With a proper structure.

With all due respect, I'm not interested in cricket. You can't just ignore the 5 football teams on zero points (and two more on 1 point each from 14 matches) to claim Luxembourg prove your point.

I think results like Azerbaijan beating Sweden 3-0 (one worldie goal as well), Kazakhstan very much in the hunt to qualify as well as Moldova - all of whom have been really poor for many years - together with the improved nations like Armenia, Albania, Georgia, Finland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia etc shows that it is a competitive playing field.

Obviously you have nations that just cannot improve to that level, but even San Marino caused Denmark problems and Malta, Liechtenstein, Andorra have been pulling off some decent upsets in my lifetime.

But I'm sure you'll get your wish at some point, as there cannot be much commercial interest in broadcasting these games.

Rate that from France, nice to see a team with some self respect.

Shame about the officials that butchered the game. Decisions made by blokes thag haven't kicked a ball on their life

It was our own John Brooks 🤣

The red was a leg breaker, I’m not sure what else they could’ve done? It was also 3-0 before the red after 15 minutes so the massacre could’ve happened regardless.
