He’s extremely knowledgeable, a proven leader, knows our club, knows what it takes to get out of a relegation scrap, and would have the instant respect of any dressing room.

He’s been linked to the Argentina u23s and Inter for a reason.

This!

Why not Cambiasso?

Cannot understand why some posters on here are anti the idea!

Does he **** he hasn’t done anything of note for how long

I think my point was more that anyone with an ounce of tactical and man management nous will get the 12 or so points needed to keep this group up.

The thing is we want someone in like now. Not in a few weeks. It will be a bit of a climb down for potter and there’s a chance he might want a few weeks off. It’s been a sizzling time for him.

Interim managers seem all the rage these days and we might need one to keep us up. It’s possible a few of our targets might  not want to inherit a team in the relegation zone as very few managers want that on their record ..

Benitez would prove very unpopular here. His football is extremely negative and we'd want him gone within a year, I'd dread it.

I'd only think it'd be a decent idea till end of the season, he had a partnership of rondon and Perez scoring goals

I remember some Leicester players said he improved they way they played and look at Vincent Company he also was new to the management job when joined Burnley

Tbf, Kompany started at Anderlecht before moving to Burnley.

I think our situation right now and also our situation in the summer is too perilous to give some bloke his first crack in management

Before I choose…. my Harp & fluffy cloud..In the very blue Sky..:scarf:

Come on Potters is miles ahead of Gerrard / Lampard. Potter has been good at every other club bar Chelsea

Be realistic.

He's headed for a big job in Spain soon enough

He isn’t gonna get the Real, Barca or Atleti job yet.

We can pay more than the rest

of them so I think it’s more than realistic.

I dont want that Celtic manager whatever his name is.

I could win the SPL with Celtic.

To be fair a trained Camel could win the title with Celtic - THE most lame and boring league in the world

Analysing the best option is too early.

I'm not convinced by him, but Jesse Marsch as a firefighter ticks plenty of boxes. He talks a good game and largely, most of us  seem to agree, we just need to

 talk ourselves up

the reintroduction of Mendy

an elimination (playing wise anyway) of Ward, Tete and Soumare

Because he's never been a bloody manager (according to wiki anyway)

That’s a fair concern and I think that’s very valid. Cambiasso isn’t “some bloke,” though. Put some respect on his name, ha! lol

Cant see Potter coming here now and risking a relegation to drop his stock further. I imagine after stress of Chelsea job he’ll want the summer off. Not exactly like he’ll need the money after his Chelsea payoff

Have you not read the articles saying he’s isn’t getting a payoff?

There was some talk that the owners will sell if we are still in the premier league next season?

From one person.

Would be his second spell in charge here...

Jesse marsh is a very good shout. Think his style of play would suit our players too.

Might not have been you that said it but as for the "he'll demand and get instant respect", you'd like to think any manager walking in to the club would do so. How good is his English too (to a lesser extent)? Is he *that* well connected to the club/country to want to take on such a roll? Dunno it just seems to me to be too erratic
