Sorry I meant 99% sure he hasn't gone.

Ah. To be fair Saturday afternoon I’d have taken Cooper out and a Rudkin lifetime contract so I’m ok with it

No chance Rudkin is going anywhere. Reliable journalists have mentioned that it was him that delivered the news to Cooper and Tom Collomosse's article yesterday stated that it's Rudkin that is leading the hunt for the new manager.

Apologies I was being a w#nker. Still, there's still 1% to cling onto

I think usual protocol will be that Rudkin advises on the proposed manager and Tops signs it off, clearly this time he had reservations about Cooper, maybe Rudkin was that convinced by Cooper he put his reputation and job on the line and as a consequence when it was evident it was a car crash of an appointment, Top stepped in and got rid.

Considering the fact that management has made numerous mistakes over the past 3-4 years they are all still here. There have been no management changes despite throwing millions out of the window. So about time Top acts..

He won't be getting the boot but should be. He's director of football at us and OHL and both teams have sacked their manager, that he recruited, in the past 5 days. If that doesn't get him sacked, nothing will

OK, that's interesting. Add that onto the reports that Top has decided to get more personally involved with the clubs and there does seem to be something going on.

He is a board member at Leuven not Director of Football

They have someone else in that role

I think that's a good way of sounding out the right new manager - wait for who Rudders proposes and exclude them, then sack Rudders. Smart plan Top.

God I really thought it might be true. He is not going anywhere is he.

No.

He's like Bernie Ecclestone is to f1.

Mafia Boss.

Was listening to TalkSport on my drive home earlier, the White and Jordan show.

The stand in for White was saying, after an LCFC fan caller, that he was told by a mate who's a player at the club that a fellow "senior" teammate didn't like the contract extension that was being offered to him by Rudkin so he went personally and directly to Top who gave him exactly and everything he was asking for.

They tried to guess it was probably Vardy but it was left hanging as to who it might be.

Still, Whoever it was, I love the fact they just bypassed him and went straight to the boss. :giggle:

That sort of thing should make you resign instantly

Surely thats Vards? Remember his comments on the balcony at the parade? "It's up to Jon Rudkin"

He's on the gravy train for life, he's not getting a job at a comparable club so there is zero reason other than pride to step down. Should have been sacked 3 times over.

I wouldn't normally believe that Rudkin would go but everything seems to be pointing towards a reshuffle. It just seems too convenient that in the space of a few days both us and Leuven have sacked the managers, Top has made himself solely responsible on Companies House and now there are reports that he's taking control of recruitment of the manager and players. Even if he isn't officially sacked, this can only be a positive thing as the less input Rudkin has the better off we'll be.
