If its a choice between him and Beavis and Butthead from last night, it's an easy choice but I refuse to believe that those are the only options.

The whole season is a mess so it makes sense, as much as I love the guy for 1990s, it will have an air of desperation on both sides to show we still have what it takes. If it does happen though I’ll back him 100% because even if we go down it will not be his fault. Perhaps he’ll see this as revenge for the Sheff Utd game if he takes us down!

Hasn't managed since he left Forest in 2019. 4 years ago. They finished 9th and when he took the job they were 9th.

Prior to that his last club job was in 2013 at Sunderland. A decade ago. He won 3 points out of his last possible 24.

edit: Also I will add that we are 2 points from safety, not 20. If we go down the excuse "we were already down" isn't good enough. Our priority is to stay up.

I've mentioned his slow start on joining Leicester in 1995, but on the other hand, his Villa and Sunderland teams got off to flying starts.

If this happened, it would have to be on the understanding that he is not getting the job in July survival or not, but maybe just maybe it's stupid enough to work?

Seriously imagine the vibes if we stay up last day and the stadium's singing "Martin O'Neill's Blue Army"

Unfortunately my " imagine vibes " are handicapped by a serious bout of logic.

Same. If there is only 2 options, I am going with Martin... just because the players need a manager, not a couple of coaches.

Genuinely think if we are going down the legend route it would be better to get Pearson back. Still in management and some of his staff are still at the club. Not convinced either is what we need at the moment though

Or Ranieri, he's managing at Serie B right now but has only lost one game this season so far, won 6 drew 6.

That would be an absolute car crash. Anyone wanting this needs to log off, drive up to the KP, knock on the door and hand in their season ticket.

what would be a car crash would be getting relegated.

Besides, I don’t have a season ticket.

Not a chance this happens.

Be actually quite disappointed if we did. I don't want his good name tarnished with another relegation with us with the mind of club we are now.

Just maybe though Martin game in for the final 9 games and managed to keep us up on the last day. His reputation would go beyond a legend! However club must not go beyond the summer with Martin.
