dylanlegend Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 If he comes back hope he brings Keane with him, the players won’t know what’s hit them 🤣 1 1

One went to play for England over his behaviour, losing his head in the hotel. A League of Ireland goalkeeper was called up to make up the squad numbers in training due to an injury to a keeper. He said training / set up / preparation / opponent knowledge / tactical drills - were all better at his club than in the MON / Keane era Ireland set up. He was at a club in a division with several semi pro clubs in it including players at his club who weren't full time at that point. Think about that .... 3 1

LCFCJohn Posted 6 April 2023 Posted 6 April 2023 This just feels so unimaginative. Just pluck a previous manager who is basically retired. Top and the board really are lazy and clueless if this happens.

cruzFOX Posted 6 April 2023 Posted 6 April 2023 One thing is for sure Stowell & Sadler better buck up their ideas and fast otherwise the heats on them. They have to be smart and find a damn way to navigate us out of this mess. 4 points or 1 point but we can no long afford anymore god damn losses!

I have not had any thanks from anyone for breaking my news One of the reaction buttons = thanks. Go back and check. I noticed you were right about Brendan and started listening (and getting excited)

SK3Blue Posted 6 April 2023 Posted 6 April 2023 I very much doubt he would risk his legacy here. Love the guy but I don't see him keeping us up either. 1

Stowell couldn't navigate his way around the club shop. Had nothing to do for 10 years while Kasper was here. Now he's finally had to work out who's better out of Ward and Iversen, it's taken him 26 games. 1 2

I'd rather be a laughing stock than whatever the **** the outside world think we are now. Apparently we're shite despite the fact we had an elite level manager who spurs or Chelsea should take back to his rightful place?!?! Genuinely no idea how that works. Maybe it was saddler and Stowell fault all along? 😂🤔

Who had gotten left behind and had only arrogance in interviews left ? Did any of you absolute muppets notice that three in a row lads ? He's as relevant as Howard Wilkinson / George Graham or Alex Ferguson. Your time passes not matter how good you were and that's that. Nobody is special. There are some clowns on here who deserve a relegation and probably two. They know f u c k all Tbf, I hadn't thought about those other 3. I'd take any of them either over the usual suspects.
markko Posted 6 April 2023 Posted 6 April 2023 If we could have MO of his time I would have him in a heartbeat. He is older and has not worked for 4 years. He still loves the club and he may still have the fire in his belly. If he failed he would taint the memories he created. Could he bring Keane with him? I would still go for Wilder as an alternative.

People use the "he loves the club" line but he loves Forest and never did anything with them, got sacked after 5 months. And Wilder if I see another mention of Wilder again I think I'll cry. Why would you want Wilder. When he had Sheffield United in a relegation battle he couldn't do anything and ended up leaving. He had Middlesbrough in a relegation battle this season, massively underperforming, and was sacked (a different manager now has Middlesbrough 3rd).
jonathan_ross Posted 6 April 2023 Posted 6 April 2023 If he can lift the mood of the crowd and stop the players burying there heads in the sand for this 9 game mini season, I can’t see the appointment doing any harm really. 1
RumbleFox Posted 6 April 2023 Posted 6 April 2023 Roy Keane has never ever done anything at management/coach level. It’s so weird the way people think that: being a dick = saying it like it is = being a good thing = being a good manager. Wouldn’t want him anywhere near us. 1
fuchsntf Posted 6 April 2023 Posted 6 April 2023 I Never consider any FT poster,my adversary, even great that over periods we differ,or surprisingly agree, with same or slightly different perspective… But on this topic of managers, what seriously popped up over these last few days,I despair, for us and other clubs…Pundits & fans shooting in a dark barrel, others just very dark… Mind you it could be. Souly me, & my crazy…prefer „to wait & see“ if,who what the various Owners path they choose..obviously LCFC takes preference.. If I had a preference, it would be „ none of the above“
Guest WarehamFox Posted 6 April 2023 Posted 6 April 2023 Remember his first stint here, didn't get a win in his first ten games or so. An omen?

egg_fried_rice Posted 6 April 2023 Posted 6 April 2023 There’s nothing actually in this is there? Just that independent article that says: ‘Leicester City are considering an experienced caretaker in order to stay in the Premier League, with former manager Martin O’Neill and Rafa Benitez among the names discussed.’ And a few insane bods on this forum willing it to happen right?
