If Jesse whatever his name is keeps us up, then it wouldn’t be too far off the Ranieri 5000/1 miracle, and I genuinely mean that. From what I’ve seen of this pathetic group of players, I have completely resigned myself to the inevitable. 
 

The pressures turned up a notch (only a notch) and we have numpty KDH getting sent off and then ‘captain’ Madders putting there player in on our goal, we’re not even at the crunch point yet and these melons are already throwing it away. What a soft soft group of boys we have. If Jesse can get anything out of this jelly group to muster up survival I would be utterly amazed and would support an immediate statue of the guy next to Vichai!

As we parked the car my son read me out the team. Disbelieving (Soumare? Amartey? Vardy??), I joked that we should get back in the car and drive home again. Wish we had. 

 

What a stinking mess Rodgers has left this team in. Top, why on earth did you wait so long? The shame of relegation is the price you will almost certainly pay for your misplaced loyalty and complacency.

Rodgers dropped him for a good reason, why these caretakers seem to think it is good to play him is beyond me. GOAT no doubt, but he isn’t that man anymore. We need results, the whole selection today was the most bizarre I have ever seen

The organisation and setup was an absolute shambles from them two clowns. This is supposed to be the top level of professional sport, never seen anything like it in that first half.

Reminded me of a group of 11 players that wanted to play football. “Hi, my name is James, but you can call me Madders” “hello, I’m Dan. Can I play in defence and this is my cousin’s friends brother Soumare, can he play as well?”

The golden days are over. The players couldn't raise themselves or be raised for a winnable match against a poor Bournemouth side. We're permanently fragile in defence and for goals we rely totally on moments of individual brilliance that have dried up. Any confidence has gone and we lack passion and desire. Our tenure in the PL was always going to come under threat. It's just a crying shame that we're going down without a fight and plummeting into a very uncertain future.

Unfortunately this misguided idea of support is the reason that the malaise and incompetence at the club will go unchecked.

What do people think is the cause of the dip in form of pretty much all the players?  I keep wondering this.  I don’t believe they don’t care.  Even if they plan to try and leave, the value of their new contracts will depend on how good they are, so it’s not in any of their interests to down tools, not even Maddison.   
 

My feeling is that Rodgers was so negative at the start of the season, essentially saying that the whole team was shit and he was pissed off he hadn’t been given any money for more players.  He sulked for weeks and weeks, every press conference the same, moaning about the lack of funding.  It must have been awful for the players to know he thought they were pretty much all crap.  
 

I can’t think of any other reason for all but Maddison to actually get worse over the last few months.
