Think it is time we cut Top a bit of slack.

Football in the UK especially at this level is not paid for by fans, if we had to pay for it heaven knows what tier we'd be in.

Top has perhaps not made the right decisions at times this season but the person that hurts financially is Top, not a single one of us.

If anything he has run the club too much like a fan. We all wanted to keep out best players rather than sell 1 or 2 a year, because if we had kept them all where might we be, and so Top gave us that, and it damn near paid off, but it didn't and as with any gamble when you lose there is a debt to be paid, but we won't pay it, Top will.

This guy loves this club and wants nothing but the best for it.

I for one hope he hasn't had enough of us moaning. I hope he has also learned that he cannot run a club like a fan, with his heart, and that he will now see the wisdom of his old man, and run it as a business and be ruthless where he needs to be. That can be lonely because you won't please everyone all of the time, but when it's your money paying for it all you have the right to call the shots.

We didn't complain when we held on to our best players that we should be selling them, that we were departing from the model that had served us so well, in our own small way we are just as culpable for what has come to pass.

I have loved the success same as any of us, but I love my club more and I'll accept that we have to sell players at times I'd like to keep as long as we can keep a side that will always give anyone a game and on its day might just beat anyone.

Time we stopped moaning and stand together.

Absolute nonsense.

He’s cause this downfall. I said it months ago and got stick. He has to take accountability for his actions and inability.

According to BBC he looked like he had tears in his eyes today.

If he appoints Jesse Marsch on a 3 year deal he’ll deserve all the stick he gets

****ed any legacy he would of had, respect for Vichai but Top is more interested waking up with a Colombian cold and leaving our club in the hands of incompetent clowns.

We're "just as culpable" as our owner is for our impending, totally avoidable relegation because we weren't telling him to sell our best players? Sound.

Blind devotion in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, I'll have whatever the OP is having.

More interested in grandiose, masturbatory, infrastructure projects than the football side of things. Shown more interest in that f**king golf course at Seagrave than running the club.

You can't blame Top for having a bit of loyalty. Something that is sadly lacking in a section of our fanbase. Just because things aren't going well at the moment doesn't mean we turn on everyone involved in the club.

I agree but also I have/will cut him some slack..

He's gonna cost me a bit of workplace ribbing, a mild blow to my ego and reduced enjoyment of watching elite players. But that's kinda my choice..

He's gonna have to learn he hard way though. He's rinsed a 500m asset to nothing and earned himself a bill of a couple of hundred million on top. The hardest lessons are learnt best.

Said it before but people like Rudkin have a job for life because of the Premier League win and they've been given license to make decisions they are absolutely clueless about.

If Top doesn't sack him and a few others at that level then we are likely to have a really bad few years.

I know his heart is in the right place.  And he's put a lot of his own money where his heart is.  As a fan I'm grateful for that.

But in terms of having the judgment (ruthless when needs be) needed to run a business, or indeed just the willingness to make a decision rather than kick the can down the road and hope ... frankly I fear for King Power, much less this club.  If they were listed I would short the stock.

Right down to the decision to leave the club in Rodgers', then caretakers' hands, when its equally desperate competitors had all grasped the nettle.

Honestly the best thing he could do is sell up because he has got so much of his late Father's work wrong.

If people want to cut the person slack who is the reason we are in this situation then you absolutely barking mad.

He had 18 months to sack his friend but left it far to late he also should of had someone lined up straight away for 2 crucial games that would of seen us safe instead of having S and S in charge of the most vital games of the relegation battle.

This club is a joke now there is no way we should be in this position

Cut slack for a terrible job done? None of us are talking Ill of the tragedy, but the way this club has been run over the last 18 months is nothing short of a disgrace.

He had about as much good will as it is possible to have, the only person to blame for pissing all of that away is himself

The club has been poorly run for a while now, their has been a serious lack of any kind of actual direction of the club

The team has been allowed to rot for multiple years now and we are seeing the results of that, Rodgers has been dragging the club down into the gutter for at least 18 months and Top has had plenty of time and opportunities to do something about it, either he is incompetent and unable to notice that, or he did notice and didn't care, or he noticed but didn't have the bollocks to do anything about it, none of those are a good sign for a club that is in freefall and will need to take a long hard look at itself and make some serious decisions about where we want to be in the future

Top left it too late to pull his finger out of his bottom.

From a business point of view, his neglect enabling our fall from grace and resulting financial meltdown makes him a shìt owner, one of the worst in Premier League history.
