He's limited. Capable of the odd nice goal like Villa but he's technically inferior to any remotely top player. Not a dig by any stretch as Happy to have him around but genuinely cannot see him sitting on big teams radars

Bollocks.

He’s ideal for a team that plays with pace and momentum. He isn’t limited, he has a particular skill set. Mark my words, if Barnes played for a better team, he would be lethal. He’s managed to be our most productive player when we play as slow as a team of snails…..

Each to their own. Technically limited, enough for us yes but won't tick anyone else's boxes. Blue tinted glasses off for a moment.

£40m minimum, though for that money it would have to be a top 6 type and I don't think any would have Barnes, possibly Manchester United or Spurs but he wont be a starter. I just can't see him going to a West Ham or Aston Villa though - hope not anyway.

Personally think that because his salary is probably guaranteed, and the fact he's going to be surrounded by his 'friend' group with KDH, Hamza, Iversen, Albrighton, Vardy plus the fact he was brought up here, his friends are Leicester fans, he'll either get a loan somewhere or stay.

Obviously I hope he stays. Some of the fans don't seem to care as much about local/youth lads, but a squad with KDH, Hamza, Barnes, Thomas, Iversen, Braybrooke, and Alves makes me very proud.

What do you think about the fact he's managed double figures for goal involvements in every full Premier League season he's played in?

Why be reasonable with morons

If we could keep those it would be very decent in the championship I have to say, alongside a few others who would likely stay such as Souttar. I would say there’s a chance of vardy, albrighton, mendy, daka, Justin and amartey staying as well so I think we could actually have a fairly tasty squad for the championship even once stripped bare and 0 spent.

I would also expect Barnes to play as a striker or as a more central attacking midfielder in a Marsch system and Barnes might like that who knows. He's not known as the most versatile attacker is he.

I'd guess between £40m - £45m

He is one of those players that can be unplayable at times on the wing but unfortunately he is really inconsistent and can follow a couple of good games up with 4 or 5 matches where he produces next to nothing.

Personally i think he'd be more effective playing centrally just behind a front two.

Stranger things have happened. I always fancied barnes to learn from vardy and develop into that role, would be amazing if it did happen. I do think though, out of all of those on your list, he may well go. I think Hamza may be out of contract and I’m also pretty sure there’s some kind of clause to his loan? So not sure he would be back, but it would be amazing if he did stay. Hamza hasn’t been at our level, but our level is now a lot lower, I’d love him to come in and be a regular because he really isn’t a bad player - he’s just not a player for a team with top 6 aspirations.

Could see him going to Villa

Funny you should say that, because i was thinking exactly that the other night.  I cant see a Top 4 contender coming in for him, but the next level down, which is what Villa are becoming, thanks to them ditching Gerrard early, and bringing in a decent manager.  A manager we could most likely have had, if we had  ditched Rodgers when we should have!

I can see Eddie Howe taking madders, Tielemans and barnes off us and making them World beaters. Just typical

They will definitely be in for Maddison again, it will depend who else comes in for him, and whether he fancies that move more.  Not sure about Tielemans to Newcastle. I dont think they will be in for Barnes personally, but someone will come in for him, someone like Villa, who i mentioned already, and he will be offski!

£15m on the current market. Nowhere near the England set up now and clubs can pick up players like him from European leagues for £10m - £15m.

Think we need a reality check with some of the evaluations banded around.

Watford were asking for 40 million for Ismailia Sarr when they dropped. You think we would ask for less considering he’s English  and way more proven in the PL than Sarr? That makes no sense

Lmao we’re not the ones who need the reality check

Nah, he's worth double that to any club in Europe or with ambitions of being in Europe.

Finding effective home-grown players is hard.
