Don’t know why Leeds have persisted with Meslier for so long, surely loan him back to France and get an experienced keeper in they would be much better off. He just hasn’t looked ready for PL football ever since he came to England.

Pretty excited about this now. Felt we were alot more organised defensively against Wolves.

Getting Barnes and Madders back will only boost our chances of a win and get some distance between us and the bottom 3

                  Iversen

Castagne Faes Soy Kristensen

   Mendy Maddison KDH

  Tete Iheanacho Barnes

If wanting to be a bit more conservative at the start, Ndidi for KDH (with no licence to roam 🤣). We need to be on the front foot again for 3pts.

One thing I feel is for certain under Smith- a player who’s impressed so much in the previous game (Cags and Soumare) will almost certainly be starting the next game (bar injury obviously)

You could never say that under Rodgers. In fact, you could be almost certain said player would be dropped the following game!

Yeah, his favourites always get the nod if they are fit.

I feel more nervous about this game than compared to Wolves. This is a relegation six pointer. Leeds know they must win too. They will fight harder than Wolves did. It will be a tougher game for us. We really cannot afford any individuals mistake again. Everyone must be ultra focussed.

Agree - it's going to be incredibly tense. Looking at Leeds' fixtures too, this is probably one of the only ones that they have some belief that they can get a result in. That said, they're completely plummeting and haven't had any sign of resurgence (touch wood) in recent games.

Fulham absolutely battered them at the weekend and on another day that could easily have been 5-1 - Leeds looked lethargic and short of ideas, so hopefully that carries through to Tuesday night!

I think the fact that Leeds need to win should help us.
Defensively they are as poor as we were/can be. Maddison will find gaps, Barnes if fit, will be lethal on the break, if he’s ‘on it`.
The first 20 mins are important. Hopefully we can silence the home support, go ahead & defend properly.

First 20 minutes of the game are massive.

Must not concede early..... quieten the crowd down,

Score 1st and their heads will drop, just as ours did under Rodgers

Just posted pretty much the same as this

It’s set up to be ideal for a Barnes break away goal.

Leeds temperament is bubbling over. We need to be considered and level headed, let them come out the traps like a dog with two dicks, and we can pick them off as they leave gaps.

Imagine dropping Bouba after that performance…

Oops, yes, you're absolutely right! I  accept your wise council and wish to make a change, I'll put him in fir KDH, between Mendy and Maddison he would be a great link in what is arguably his best position. Anymore decisions like that and I deserve to go the way of the luminous toothed one! 🤣

That's a straight up top six team if properly managed all year and confident. Jesus, on the evidence of this season it'd push top four.

That’s what I went for too. No DM needed.

I know Xg stats aren't the holy gosel... But it was nice to have a much higher xg than a team for once.

Same starting XI but Barnes in for Daka and Mads in for Vards

We don’t need Mendy in there if Soumare plays like he did on Saturday.

They dominated Palace in the first half before conceding an equaliser on 45mins, then disintegrated in the second half. They looked pretty good against Liverpool before going behind. It's fair to assume we'll face a barrage early on, but the evidence suggests that if you can get through that unscathed, they're there for the taking.

Everyone now putting Soumare in the side is mad lol

Madness would be ignoring his contribution this weekend and not allowing him to repeat that motm performance.

That's the lineup I'd go with. Playing Nacho in the 8 role and Madders in the 10 role with liberty to exchange positions.
