Cheers. Not the prettiest midfield we would start all season if we went with it but I feel that we would have enough to control the game and threaten Leeds as well, with our three goal scorers tight together up front. Tielemans was a little too scary with it for me to start again straight away.

Yeah, I might still lean on youri ahead if Dennis or Papy or Soumare as he has so much credit on the bank.

But apart from that, I like the fact that midfield can accept the ball under pressure and are (Soumare apart) positionally astute.

That forward line carries a threat.  All three can give any defender in the league problems ona 1 on 1 basis

What’s everyone thinking team wise? Will be tough to call especially if Maddison and Barnes are back.

Not really.

He's picked that team today so that he doesn't have to change formation when Barnes and Madders come back in.

Nacho will take over from Vardy if that ankle swells up

Barnes for Daka

Maddison in the ten role that Nacho was doing today.

Midfield will get more help from Madders than Nacho because he drops deep more often.

Agree that that team is designed for Barnes and Madders.

I'd pop Madders instead of Vards and without doubt drop my mate  Tete and add an extra midfielder. We are gonna need a midfield

Bet his little lad has nicked the ball off him a few times when he's been thinking what to do with it in a defensive position!

Win it!

Cannot afford to lose either of the next two games.

Plus if we do lose either one of them then it will undo all of today's good work - as well as giving one of our relegation rivals three points. Lose both of them then we're back in the shit, draw one and win one then that will be better but win both and I think we'll then go on to be ok.....

I’d do this but fear the running power on the right. Essentially there isn’t any and Soumare although great today can get caught wrong side often. I feel it’s our best players/matches Leeds’ style well.

                         Iversen

Castagne   Faes  Soyuncu  Kristiansen

                           Soumare

                Tielemans      KDH

         Maddison                         Barnes

                          Iheanacho

That midfield ? Tielemans and KDH bang out of form and Soumare has his first game without lead in his boots !  I’d bring in Mendy for Soumare and Praet for KDH , and keep the width through Tete and Barnes that let us beat Spurs and Villa.

                              Iversen

Castagne       Faes       Soyuncu        Thomas

                               Mendy

Tete               Praet        Maddison          Barnes

                               Ihenacho

Is Barnes actually definitely fit for this? 3 day turnaround his style of play suits playing Leeds more so than Wolves, hopefully Smith knows this and has just given him those extra couple days to be fresher.

.. you are really pushing the boundaries of the players ability to adapt and to play in an instinctive way!!!

Having Barnes on the right, is not going to help, Daka wide left is just holding back a player struggling to adjust and for getting game time. Youri will not be able to go again on Tuesday, Praet is the natural replacement. If Soumare can impose himself on this team then we could have a double pivot that we can rely on.

I still feel Nacho needs runners either side of him, which he uses as decoys or he can play in on goal, not sure we need to isolate him up top.

Just dump Tielemans. Madders in if fit. Tielemans is an absolute liability.

It's a tricky one because on his day he pulls the strings but when he's bad he's dire. He's as likely to do what he did yesterday for Wolves goal as he is to score a 30 yard screamer in off the underside of the bar.

He needs to play into some kind of form but we're running out of time. It's a tough call.

I think it's been many months if ever he's pulled the strings. I just think that although he's capable of executing a perfect defence splitting pass or scoring a screamer of a goal, it's very rare and his overall game is more likely to cost us points than give us them. It sometimes seems that one such goal can have the effect in some of erasing several games of mediocrity.

Tielemans not even worth a place on the bench let alone on the pitch.

Leeds are a team full of energy if not quality. I think if we go 1-0 down away it may be a bit more difficult, so I may be tempted to put Mendy instead of Youri. We have enough going forwards with that 4, the full backs pushing on at times, an especially if Soumare is able to be the ball carrier he was 2nd half yesterday. And the 3 day turnaround after Youri has just come back from an injury.

It's highly likely that spotters for teams like Leeds and Everton have noticed his tendency to get caught on the ball and lose possession. He'll be targetted if selected. Better to have as a bench option if we need to change attacking options later in the game.

I think you're probably right, hadn't thought of that.
