Tielemans63 Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 (edited) He's been in horrible form but I can see why Ndidi has been picked. If Everton have one thing, it's an aerial threat, so (in theory) picking Wilf means we can defend that without having to go with 3 at the back which would be a negative move in a home game we have to win. I feel sick Edited 1 May 2023 by Tielemans63 3

Really important we get people around Vardy or we’re going to struggle. If we've learned anything from the Leeds game, it's keep it tight defensively, Wilf won't be asked to do anything he can't do tonight. If we only need 1 goal to win a game I'm super confident, if we need 2 just to get a point, I'm far less confident.
RowlattsFox Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 It's a line up that would get pelters before now but if there is a difference mindset then we know there are good players out there. I'm worried though.
HighPeakFox Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 Listen guys, it's all good. On the train and just left a sizeable contribution for the city of Derby. 2

I think if each just keeps to their strengths, it could be great. Ndidi just needs to to win every ball, then quickly lay it off to Bouba or Youri. 1

FoxOfMelton Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 I have no confidence in Luke Thomas at all. I really hope he proves me wrong. 2
coolhandfox Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 Not surprised we are a little defensive, no point leaving ourselves wide open. Also it means we can have Tete and Daka coming on if we need to change it up.

How much competition does it drive in training if players that aren't being picked know we may make 3 changes each game depending on the opposition, keeps everyone on their toes, while still keeping a spine of a team.
merlin1969 Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 Glad Grey isn't starting for them, sure he love to score against us 1
StevieH Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 If we can boss the midfield maybe get more through balls to Vardy. Can se why Kristiansen and Tete have been dropped. Tete a luxury player who just hasn't influenced games enough.
Jakemoore Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 I’ll never understand the negativity over team selection before a ball has been kicked. Always bewilders me. 2
OLD norfox Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 I'm glad Ndidi is in the team, he gives us steel and hight against set-pieces and Dyche-ball. Foxes never quit Tonight is the time to step up

TrentFox Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 (edited) Luke Thomas for the biggest game in a long time. 😳. Brave call. Edited 1 May 2023 by TrentFox
Sly Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 Everton will be awful for the first 25 minutes, look to control the defensive shape. In fact, this could be a really, really terrible game of football.
KingsX Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 By the way, no watching this from behind the couch. No blowing it off and checking the score at halftime. The footy gods have selected us all for this torture and NOBODY escapes. Just think of those in the ground, putting their sanity on the line, and do likewise. 1

Fox seen in Norwich Posted 1 May 2023 Posted 1 May 2023 I’m happy with ndidi in. Need the height for Everton’s biggest threat of a set piece. come oooooon you foxes, get in to em from minute 1 and never rest.
