Assume we are relegated...
would you rather be in the FA Cup  final in 2024.... or the be in the Playoff final?

secondary question............ would you rather win the FA Cup in 2024.... or win the Playoff final?

Choosing promotion over winning the FA Cup is absolutely insane

Cup for both, I agree.

Being promoted is all good for the money, but winning cups gives prestige and honours that rank higher than play off winner and PL status.

Playoff although I don't like either options!

Staying up would be preferable to both!

Are players, sponsors etc more likely to be interested in a championship team that won the FA Cup or a PL team? It was the same thing (on a lesser scale) with winning the FA Cup or Champions League qualification. I think we all wanted that FA Cup win more because we'd never done it but if you went with your head, the CL was a significantly better outcome as it would have set us up for longer term success and given us a better chance to compete for the FA Cup more regularly.

I couldn't get to the cup final but have to be there the next time we win it. So, FA Cup for me. Play-off winners doesn't hold much weight on the clubs honours board.

And that's the problem with modern football.

The moment you trade winning a prestigious trophy for worrying about sponsors and "regularly competing" (i.e not winning it) then what's the ****ing point anymore?

The logical endpoint of this kind of thinking is the super league and we aren't getting anywhere near that kind of thing.

Imagine the amount of games we'd be playing the following season though, this lot look knackered now
