If nothing else it'll be entertaining.

His Wolves side in the Premier League were one of the most boring teams to watch. His football was from attractive.

Absolutely, not sure what Wolves side the poster you quoted was watching, they were absolutely turgid under Nuno. They either low blocked and counter attacked, or if they couldn't do that passed it around aimlessly with no penetration and hoped Traore could do something (he usually couldn't)

It's difficult to see this going well, especially given how Forest fans have generally reacted. If he starts slowly, Forest are in a world of bother.

He's been a respected coach and also managed Swansea to the play offs, twice. He's a decent second tier manager and was a good appointment for Forest, as he proved.

 

Not even in the same category as someone like Pearce.

They were pretty entertaining when promoted and in their first Premier League season. It just went tits up after that. It looks as though his career is going in the wrong direction, to be honest.

The point I was making is that Marinakis made five bad appointments before he made a good one. Pure chance that Cooper was available, willing to come and impressed Marinakis. Based on his record prior to appointing Cooper, it's a wonder they didn't end up with Ian Holloway.

Having players like Neves and Jota in the Championship is a very different prospect to Niakhate and Yates in the Prem, isn't it? There's also the question of how Awoniyi, upon whom they're clearly completely dependent for goals, will fit into the system or whether NES will rate him.

We only became that way once Jimenez got his head injury and we struggled to find a striker. Before that we were a fast paced direct counter attacking side who scored plenty of goals courtesy of Jota and Jimenez. Neves and Moutinho were one of the best CM pairings in the league. 

 

We finished 7th in the league, got to the Europa League QFs and the FA Cup semis. We only became dull once Jota had to try and do it all on his own, which he couldn't. 

 

It just goes to show how important a good striker is.

I had to check that this was true, but it is... Steve Cooper has a win percentage of just 21.8% across his 55 games managed in the Premier league. Given the amount of money that's been spent, that's very poor. You can see why they've made the change.

How many of those were his signings, though? It does seem like an absolute bin fire of a club that is only in the Premier League at all because of him and, frankly, some absurdly good luck along the way.

Just talking about it in the League Cup thread.

 

A common theme now with big clubs, just to many day trippers at each of these places. Probably just turn up and want to be entertained, Klopp rightly asking what more do they want Liverpool to do (in terms of hammering West Ham on the day).
