If you need your little pal to come and have a chat about the decision then just leave it. Was it one of those where the ref has to decide if the player was interfering ? Just another example of how subjective VAR is really and so a lottery .

It's abit of a joke that was left to 'subjectivity' tbh because thats about the only black and white thing VAR can get involved in. Not only does he come across the Fulham defender impeding the defender from getting there he very obviously tries to get a foot on it. It's just used wrong at every turn and shouldn't be in the game. If a professional referee with replays needs to ask his mate to double check his thinking, then what is the point in even looking at it. Either he should say maguire offside and interfered with play or goal is good. It should have taken no more than 20 seconds. 1
StanSP Posted 4 November 2023 Posted 4 November 2023 This is why Semi-Automated offside technology needs to be installed sharpish. Worked very quickly and successfully at the World Cup. PL/PGMOL are too up their own arses to introduce something better though.

Not seen it but if it was that obvious then yes shouldn’t take that long or the ref should trust the VAR (hard I know !) Is this the image they used as looks like it’s s Fulham arm playing him on ? Popular Post foxfanazer Posted 4 November 2023 Popular Post Posted 4 November 2023 I think there's a big enough sample size now to suggest that VAR doesn't improve our game. Let's just go back to how it was 5
Tielemans63 Posted 4 November 2023 Posted 4 November 2023 Amazing how Jonny is fit every week now he plays for United. 3 1
Bordersfox Posted 4 November 2023 Posted 4 November 2023 Bloody hell if Evans had tried anything like that for us last season he'd have been out injured for three months afterwards. 1

Is this the image they used as looks like it’s s Fulham arm playing him on ? Thats the image yeah. Fulham arm can't play him onside. Maguires lean puts him off. The subjectiveness came over wether maguire interfered with play or not. Which it was ridiculously clear he did. Felt more like a 'look we're sending the ref to the monitor more' kind of situation tbh. 1

Same guy who gave that Newcastle penalty last week so probably no a surprise. 2
Mike Oxlong Posted 4 November 2023 Posted 4 November 2023 Regardless of the result Man Utd are utter dross Love it

foxfanazer Posted 4 November 2023 Posted 4 November 2023 Maybe slabhead should play concussed every game
Tuna Posted 4 November 2023 Posted 4 November 2023 I reckon our best XI from last season is better than this United team.
