Can't stop shaking my head at the idiocy of this decision. If we're that hard up for cash that we are genuinely prioritising these short-term revenues above a long-term plan to return to the Premier League ASAP then we should all be very, very worried.

we didn’t think we would be relegated when we negotiated and accepted this tour

now it’s a fire fighting exercise

When exactly did we accept it?

Before we played Bournemouth

If you mean the April Bournemouth match, after we had lost to Palace and Villa, and hadn’t won any of the 8 matches before the Bournemouth match, then this is quite simply gross negligence on someone’s part, and that person/people ought to binned.

What actually is the commercial appeal of this to anyone seeing spurs and Liverpool play a team from the championship.

Just an excuse for Top and King Power to wave their championship dick about.

In hindsight it's daft and unneccesary and I know everybody is still on a downer, but it's not a guaranteed 0pts from the opening 3 games is it. So long as the weeks before this resemble a traditional pre season, these games are basically like our usual glamour friendlies the week before the season starts. Only difference is the travel (and one extra game 3 days before), but they have 6 days to recover. If they're not able to do that then they can sod off

They're all on the club payroll - absolutely nonsensical when these guys get wheeled out by BBC/Sky to talk about Leicester tbh. They're not going to say anything that'll rock the boat, whether it's on LCFCtv Pravda or on mainstream television/radio

Taggart is pretty critical tbf.

They could be playing Accrington Stanley, the locals are there to see ‘their heroes’ in the flesh. When the ‘big 6’ go on their pre season jaunts they sell out open training sessions

If they arranged it any time after August 2022 then they were stupid.

They expected us to turn up and beat Bournemouth- rodgers gone, squad re motivated - simples …… they were shocked after the game

I get that but still doesn’t explain why we have to be involved. They may as well replace us with a Thailand, Singapore eleven or a team of YouTubers.

I honestly think it’s the club digging it’s heels in to stay involved with it .

True but we want our coin too. I’m sure there’ll be loads of caveats to ensure we can’t get out of it, these contracts are very tightly written, it’s not as easy as ‘forfeit the money and play Mansfield instead’

It has become a mis-match on every level.

The hosts will not be getting a side with star names to watch, Vardy aside.

We will not be getting suitable or relevant preparation for our season ahead.

Our matches will not be competitive, we’ll be miles behind Liverpool and even Spurs.

It could have been a reward and thing of pride had we had a successful season seeing how well we’ve been received and treated there but as it is we (the club as the players may be very different in personnel) go there foxtails between legs, disgraced failures.

Only positive is that it’s a glamorous treat for the new signings (silly me to make such a brave presumption) to say welcome to the club, this is the warmth and generosity of our Thailand link and along with getting to train at Seagrave will either make them realise we have high ambitions or intimidate them into nervous wrecks who don’t want to be on the ball or track back and work!

If we do bring in the numbers of players we’ll need it could be a good bonding time but remembering previous “bonding time” and they might not all make it back in time for the first league game!

If the new manager has any balls he will go into the office and say this bullshit tournament isn't happening

...do you remember the Martin Allen (I think it was him) interview, when he said how dismayed he was that the club he was about to manage, were bringing in players that he had not approved!!!

He was all prepared to make his views known, but then he saw how much he was being paid and decided to go with the flow. You do need integrity and a belief that you are right, in order to make your real feelings shown to your new boss.

Even he told Milan that he didn't want Hasselbaink in the end though. Think he was even checking in at the Mercure on Grandby Street. Poor bloke.

Maybe the Foxes Trust could have a word?

"We are where we are"

"Where's that then fella?"

"Singapore... 5 days before the season starts"

...you have to ask, what is the point of The Foxes Trust!!!

There must have been a point where it would have been prudent to make themselves heard!!!

Even with this debacle, there is little reaction and if they never existed, it would make no difference. I thought they would be the voice in the club representing us, the supporter. A group that could mobilise a whole fanbase to address mismanagement and unfair practices within the club. They are surely there to hold the club to scrutiny, but it seems that they are a tick-box exercise reluctantly agreed upon by the club.

The fact that we continue to do the same thing that brought us to this position, should be enough for them to call foul.
