I hope someone looks at this Asian tour and puts a stop to it a week before the championship starts. Utter madness If it goes ahead. Mind I suspect we can't pull out due to contracts or something.

Good chance we have been paid to do it, so unlikely.

We’ve definitely been paid to go so we will

too late to get a ‘known’ club in to replace us

we will also ask sky to let us be the Sunday lunchtime game. They will happily take Leeds for the Friday night opener

Our best season in history of the back of the last Asian tour. We will probably lose the first game as a result, but as long as we win one of the first 3 games. I'd say it should be more incentive to get the manager and players in place early before this tour than if we were playing Burton Albion and Derby.

We have no say in when Sky show our matches.

Well that’s true but they will want to keep us onside for next season as we should be a big story whatever happens.  Making life easier for them and granting them additional access would be a quid pro quo.  sky have no reason to be difficult when Leeds are just as big a name to start the season on the Friday

I expect we will have to honour contractual arrangements but, due to the  tournaments closeness to the start of the new season (Championship now and not PL which is a week later), I fear we could make a poor start. We need a tough pre season training schedule and matches against hard running lower league teams.

I know Wikipedia is not a credible source but it indicates we will play Spurs in Bangkok and Liverpool in Singapore.

Great preparation for the championship

That's exactly what we are doing, announced by the club a few weeks ago. Hopefully some other fun pre season games announced

Just send the kids and a couple of the old boys like Vardy and Albrighton. Keep the main squad closer to home and do some behind closed doors matches.

Get the to**ers running up the Jock Wallace slag heap!!!

What kind of a squad are we taking to Asia?

hope we don’t get a massing hiding!

Hopefully u21s. The Asia tournament is a massive second to having a proper pre-season run out
