League One & Two - 2023-2024 Season

Recommended Posts

Peterborough made 7 changes last night and basically threw the game to Cheltenham, who would have been relegated with a loss, or down on all but GD with a draw.

Should be investigated by the league IMO as Burton now need a result on the last day to make sure they stay up.

I remember Mick McCarthy with Wolves making 11 changes against Man Utd to rest everyone for the game against Burnley the following week (which Wolves won) and the league fined us £50k.

I remember this. Thought it was a joke at the time. Holloway did the same for Blackpool at some point and nearly beat Villa and got fined.

Just look at this. Doncaster have picked up 30pts from the last 30pts available to them, won 13 out of 16 including the last 10 in a row and gone from 22nd in February to an almost guaranteed playoff place, sitting 5th going into the final game of the season. It’s astonishing. Grant McCann, what a job he's doing. 🤯

This last minute penalty could end up being so key for both  teams !

Notts County maybe a tad disappointed how the season has finished, started off so struggling, as seen in February in the play off positions and now slumped down to 14th. Suppose before a ball was kicked they would have took that, but after such a decent start they must feel underwhelmed. Been off form for months.

We, along with Stockport, Wrexham and Mansfield, were pre season favourites.

We just leak way too many goals to compete.

Still happy with the season and look forward to the next one.

Really lackluster finish to the season for us.

If someone put together a compilation of the goals we conceded(including the one today against Forest Green), it was be absolutely comical.

The excitement of being back in League football sure wore off quickly lol

If we lose Langstaff and Jodi, we'll be doomed.

Pretty easy in the end.

3 of the 4 League One play -offs teams same as last year.

Interesting. I wonder if that has happened before. Of the 3 play off losing sides, you’d expect at least one normally goes up automatically or fails to finish in the play offs the following season. Oxford must fancy their chances!

What are the odds of Langstaff going to Wrexham do you think?

Top scenes at pride park.

Their fans never seem to faze me, compared to their bitter rivals who seem fixated that we pretend not to care about them etc.

Its what Americans do, same thing happening at Birmingham.  Its a very american thing to do, difference is in America they'd fill a stadium to watch someone play tiddly winks.
