Forest in financial trouble according to the Daily Mail( hopefully true) the link won’t post, but Didn’t Wigan get an 8 point deduction for the same thing. Not paying bonuses etc…

It is a bit of a nothing story unfortunately, says that the club will be paying owed bonuses by the end of August which they claim is what was originally agreed.

Could well be signs of the spectacular fall to come after last seasons spending though.

Does feel like a house built on sand, maybe wishful thinking but they've only bought Elanga in for c. £15m. Shame the bottom half of the PL looks as though it's compact with shit.

It only catches up with you if you get relegated. If Forest stay on the PL gravy train they'll be fine.

I'm not so sure, to compete you end up running at a loss or pushing FFP, in the end, it catches up with you.

He’ll definitely be the first owner to set fire to the stadium and training ground for the insurance.

And cause £30m worth of improvements.

A small, provincial, perennial second tier football club owned and run by an actual crime lord who suspiciously signed about 30 players on Premier League wages in a calendar year to compensate for over reaching has financial problems?

I'm stunned.

A lot of PL clubs are spending more than they can afford, like us at some time in the future it catches up with you.

To be fair, though (and at the risk of being accused of sucking up to KP) - as a club, we slammed on the brakes, we saw what the situation was and said 'no more for now'.  Granted that contributed to our footballing downfall, but at least it prevented us from getting bans and deductions, and has allowed us to move forward this season with a decent kitty.

Personally think it's a mountain out of a molehill here.

It's not a fashionable thing to say but the owner is probably not wishing to enter them into a loan. Every other club is forward funding their TV money etc by securing agreements. He's probably waiting for the TV money to drop in August, pay them direct as the article says.

They signed 30 (thirty) ((THIRTY)) players last season. That is a LOT of agents’ fees.

Apparently only £4.3 million which was the least amount spent in the Premier league

Yeah, exactly, that’s the problem, they don’t pay ‘em
