it’s possible they will try again with a super league but those joining the super league will run the risk of being thrown out of their domestic leagues.. we shall see- but fan power played a massive part last time around  with the downfall of the plans..

Just look at how quickly the various golfing tours/associations changed their stance with LIV Golf. It's an endless money pit that fairly soon I'm sure everyone will want a part of.

Yeah imagine the political will in the UK and the European Union to sanction such a thing. Golf is one thing, that's easily done but like the failure of the Super league it's not that easy. Won't be happening any time soon.

You're talking about FIFA and the Saudi's. I wouldn't trust either of them as far as I could throw them.

A few brown envelopes and a promise to invest £XBn in FIFA and anything is possible.

Correct - and the Saudis want to host the World Cup too - the league and players is part of the wider project

Just a reminder that it’s the UEFA champions league… Al Hilal won’t be joining it any time soon…

Is that like how Maccabi Tel Aviv are regularly in the Champions League?

That's politics rather than money.

Imagine Tel Aviv rocking up in the holiest place in Islam. While politically things are better than they once was, this in itself wouldn't go down very well.

Golf is completely different to football and does not offer a credible analogy.

I thought Casadei would  more likely be a Roman Catholic as opposed to Jewish or Muslim.

If we're all in on these two players and not getting them we need to switch target surely?

I think you're forgetting we have Captain Rudkin at the helm

That's more to do with the fact that 99% of teams in the Arab confederation would refuse to play against Israeli teams - and even if they did play - the fans would genuinely bash each other's skulls in.

Both sides profit, Israeli teams get to actually play games and European fans get an away trip to Tel Aviv or Haifa

Love all this crazy talk

FIFA wouldn't allow cross-participation because that would devalue the individual continents and their unions. Besides the Saudis have no interest in putting their teams in foreign tournaments, they're all about making themselves the focus not piggy backing into European fixtures. Eurovision isn't even comparable, it's a twobit karaoke gig not a multi-billion $ media frenzy.

Eurovision has been around since ca 1956…Its seen its various international W.class stars, and give credit, created some.

Even the non participants like various spin offs from Lord of the dance,& wow ,how that took off.Making millions for its stars and off-set producers. Still going strong in 2nd 3rd generations. Some new stars, created had their 20 yrs of fame, others only a blinding light of 2…

Funny thing is the Eurovision of „Lord of the dance“  1994 fame was the first time since Lulu/Sandie Shaw years & the last time I tuned in…..I always disliked it..but then I fell in love with mireille Mathieu……

Get ready to ramble..Fuchsntf is ready to rumble…besides a lifetime of Fuchs history might be educating, under the influence is far better than those weird sober thoughts..

If I could "relax and be patient" it'd make me a pretty poor pimp.

Being impatient and reactionary is what keeps me at the top of the pimp game.

Can i have tomorrow off?
