Funny because I remember plenty of 'jokey banter' about demari grey being thick. I wrote it off at the time because let's face it he did nearly walk into a moving helicopter blade!

But now with ineacho there does seem to be a pattern about which players some of our fans decide are stupid.

I wasn't even saying I think he's stupid, i've read/heard stuff about him doing really stupid stuff (funny stupid!!) in and around the training ground. Was meant to be a bit of a laugh about someone being a bit of a clown/was also a light hearted joke about someone using a tray table to rest their head on.

I can list a load of white players we have who seem thick if that makes you happier?

I’m talking about the terms of the deal that people are trying to parse out via Google translate, not about the existence of a deal.

You won’t find that out from this end

uk journos will have to ask their Turkish counterparts for the details - which we already effectively have

Yep it's a common trope. African footballers are described regularly as 'beasts, animals, specimens' or other non human characteristics, whereas Europeans or Brazilians are more regularly 'schemers, artists, crafty, generals or pull the strings'. There is the odd outlier like haaland who is dehumanised, but there's loads of articles / pieces about how perception of black v white footballers is dictated by language used around the game.

Reality is we have no idea how clever iheanacho is in comparison to any of the rest of the squad because they dont do IQ tests. I know I'd like to be clever enough to have his bank balance. In terms of footballing intelligence he is more like Berbatov and Sheringham than he is Vinny Jones

You carry on on your little crusade here.

To clarify Wilf often posts videos of him in the changing rooms clowning around and being a bit silly.... much like, in my initial joke, someone resting their head on a tray table rather than the head rest. Maybe I should have said 'sillyness' rather than 'intelligence'

Sorry to have awoken whatever the **** inside of you needed to get all that out though.

Its been pretty common knowledge at the club for years, plenty of jokey player banter about it.

Believes in ghosts and refused to have a x ray at one point lol

Yes, I know that UK journalists don’t necessarily have the DoF from Galatasaray on speed dial and have to rely on other sources.

Just a bit odd that aside from a passing mention on Sky (thanks for the heads up on that, @Stopharage), none of them are actually posting anything themselves about the deal, that’s all.

There’s valuable time plane tracking to be done here and this threads too busy arguing if Iheanacho is thick lol

If the Flight Attendant in the back ground turned around and she was sporting a beard, then this would be Turkish Airlines - Istanbul to LHR.

Tbf, Seagrave must have been built on an ancient burial ground with our injury luck, so maybe it really is haunted.

So if if plays 25 games during the loan period, then the obligation to buy clicks in?

thought it was a loan to then buy, just to get around FFP things, sort of like what Newcastle have done with Lewis Hall

There's  a lot of 'banter' on here that Nacho is thick. Seems pretty obvious why that might be. I've never heard anything from the club or content suggest it though, so I think it comes from specific fans opinions.

In terms of football intelligence, hold up play, touch and movement on the field I'd say  he is one of our most intelligent players when on form.

For thick players,  look no further than Jack Grealish, who doesn't know what an encyclopedia is.

To confirm, I know a lad who worked for the club who mentioned Nacho might be the thickest person he’s ever met, also said JJ is incredibly smart and switched on. So yeah for whatever that is worth. Apparently a really nice guy mind.

Just to stoke the fire between @AjcW and his foes

Schlupp was so dense that light would bend around him. (shamelessly stolen from Malcolm Tucker).

To balance it out, I can't imagine Vards left school with any As..or even any grades :D

It is, I still stand by that. If you think that's a divider you've never been in business class!

It’s the tray (EDIT: it isn’t)

means they are likely on the front row or on an emergency exit row (EDIT : they’re not)

if the club booked the flights then they could literally be on their way anywhere ! (EDIT: this could still be true)

looking at the time on his insta post, he’s on the Turkish airlines 7-25 to Manchester or the 7-50 to Birmingham (he’s probably just arrived at the airport)

I didn't want to get involved, however I'm ITK when it comes to aircraft seating...

It's a privacy divider only. Looks like Turkish Airlines Business class (which is more akin to premium economy on long haul carriers, hence the limited actual privacy it provides).

Glad I could add some value to the thread.
