Yes but do you then go like for like ? Everyone who watched that first 60 saw us protected by him. Even if he was just getting a foot it. Asking Winks to directly do the Ndidi role is stupjd. That’s where you need your manager to manage. Stick two midfielders on. Another defender. Don’t get a ball recycle specialist who can’t tackle to sit in the ball winners role

Reminds me of that Josh Cullen that plays for Burnley. Pretty decent in the championship, woefully out of his depth at this level in the role he plays.

Tbf We don’t play a single CDM so winks was never put in the position as our ball winner. We play two number 6’s. He was poor tonight though I’m not disputing that. Skipp has shown he isn’t the answer in that role to win the ball too. Hamza would’ve been perfect tonight to swap with Ndidi from a ball winning perspective.

Absolutely horrible season for us. I think he's played his way down the pecking order beneath Skipp now and im not even a fan of Skipp either.

 

Around £35mil for Winks and Skipp, Spurs have had our pants down.
