I often wonder if Winks was the one to challenge managers over the same issues we have all witnessed, seen, moaned about and protested over?

Every one of us has noticed  and endured the sh*t players, sh*t tactics, sh*t defending, sh*t attacking, sh*t results under all these managers he's fallen out with.

So just playing devils advocate here and putting it out there that maybe he has been the one who has stood up to these managers, expressing and exposing what we have all been witnessing alongside him which is why he's been deemed the "bad influence" and been exiled....Maybe just for being the one who stood up, spoke up and had simply had enough too!

Afterall, none of us know the exact reasons why he's been put out to grass by the same 3 managers we've all had issues with

Just a thought as I put my hard hat on.

It's possible. But based on everything we know, and given Ruud did actually try and drive standards (only good thing he did), it's seems almost impossible that's it's anything other than him being an unprofessional ***"

Yeah, I do see both sides to this but it's a results based game and jeez, those displays and results under Ruud and the direction we headed extremely quickly would be enough to turn a seasoned pro like Winks as mental as we were going and maybe, just maybe, he was the one who, lets face it, he came from Spurs and England standards, to speak up.

But yeah, I do hear ya.

Doubt it. Percy said there were numerous issues with his preparation this season. He’s just a bad egg.

He needs to be starting again. You don't go from playing for England to being absolute dog overnight. There must have been something going on! Get him back in the 11

Soumare - League winner and French u21

Daka - 27 goals in 28 games

Faes - Belgium international

With Leicester, anything is possible.

If we have no interest in playing him, and we shouldn't and he can't find a move just release him on the last day of the window so he can sign elsewhere after as a free agent, it won't cost us anymore that keeping him on the books until the summer

Really really hoping he is off this window, for both our sakes. Surely if he wants more from his career he either takes a paycut or ****s off to Saudi.

You're not getting any younger Harry

Another 5 months on an increased Salary though?

He won’t get that money again.

No reason to move as he isn’t getting back in the England squad.

I could only see him leaving if it was to a Brentford, West Ham, or someone like Ipswich.

Did he not have a stinker of a game and get hauled off at half time? If you have high standards do you not lead by example? He has not done that in my view. He is not going to Saudi or anywhere like that. He doesn't seem to want to leave London. If he doesn't move on before close of the window and he is not going to play for us, negotiate a release because at least that will save some money. I would sit him down see where his head is at and decide if it is mutually beneficial for him to play. If not get him out asap.

I doubt he'd negotiate a release clause for anything less than the rest of his contract with so little time left on his deal.

You may be right but if he wants to play he would be a free agent and he could find a club outside window. I would try and get him out can't be good for him or us. He certainly is holding the better cards!

Most footballers won't leave a club for 'free'

Does Winks train with the first team? Didn't see him in the media put out by the club yesterday. Assumed maybe he'd have been banished to the U21s but wondered if King might try reintegrating, or is the situ beyond that do we think?

From what I’ve been told he hasn’t even been at Seagrave. He’s been training independently in London.

And we're still paying him £90k pw? Incredible if true.

Not trained with the first team for months, originally was training on his own with no contact with the first team squad, not sure what is presently happening.

wtf?  If this is true, and the player is contracted to us, I am amazed the club allows this to happen.  They, should stop his wages as he is in breach of his contract.

Does sum up how weak our club is.  They are actually giving in to him.

Think you misunderstand, the club banished him and made him train on his own.

No, he may be trainining on his own but he’s contractually obliged to attend training every day

Missing a day results in a fine of two weeks wages.

Whilst I want him gone due to his attitude, i love us more, we will have a better chance of winning the game with him in the squad over who we have available this weekend. I've written this season off, if by some miracle we make the playoffs its a complete bonus, I just want us to secure our status in the league this year and go again next.

Cifuentes mistake was trying to give a clean slate to players at the start of the season who didn't want to be here at the sacrifice of bringing through academy players. I think all the feel good factor of a new manager quickly evaporated and by the time he reverted back to what he said he'd do, he'd lost the squad.

Whilst we have very little choice in midfield, I think King needs to be firm. He's got very little to lose here as an interim, i'd be demanding players brought in in the next few days otherwise he'll field nearly a full academy side for the rest of the season and if they are inconsistent and we get pulled in to a relegation battle then so be it to the club.

Lost all authority very early on. I pretty much knew within a month he wasn't it.
