He has this nice move when recieving under pressure facing his own goal where the ordinary move would be to pass back to keeper or a first time square to, say, right back.... both of which the pressers are expecting.

Instead he kinda scoops the ball towards his own corner flag and in doing so, buys himself a few yards and a few seconds. Really clever get out of jail trick

Not that unrealistic if we go up he could find himself back on the fringes of the England squad considering the dearth of talent in that position

If Ward Prowse can't get in past Henderson and Phillips, Winks is going to struggle. The current manager has probably never even heard of him.

Hugely unrealistic.  Prime Vardy and Maddison couldn't get a game when he was with us

Yeah. Not like Southgate gave him all his current caps... oh wait.

Pity we had to get relegated to add two class player to the squad that's Winks and Mads of course

The others haven't been bad either tbf.

However if we get back up getting the rejuvenated Wilfs signature should be a priority as it stands.

I'm not convinced that he will be effective in his new lease of life and new found role in the Premier League. In fact, he won't.

Ah - a hit and run laughing emoji rebuke. How refreshing for FT.

Don't worry, I'm hit with them constantly without any explanation.

Tends to be the same members that do it.

Bored of Leeds fans saying Ampadu is better than him on twitter. Can’t wait for Winks to take him for a walk at the King Power in a few weeks.

He's basically doing the same job that Youri did.

The most like for like replacement I can think of.

Youri was shite after the FA Cup final (for which I will always love him), but nothing suggests that if we return to the Premier League, Winks will be a downgrade on Tielemans.

The main thing is keeping him injury free.

He's an England international.

The other 3 of those that we have couldn't even get in to the team today :P

Yes, that's in jest.

Not true. He operates in a far more advanced role/much higher up the pitch. Tielemans sat far deeper but frequently made forays into the final third when we pressed high.

I get what you're saying, but is that because of the league we're playing in now?

He's certainly not playing a Maddison position.

True.

Getting back to Ndidi though, as I said earlier, if he stays, I can't see him bing able to play such an advanced role with such aplomb if we are promoted.
