Most players way below their levels at the moment, but he's probably been the biggest offender and seems to have escaped any real criticism.

Totally appreciate he's very isolated but he also gets way more space than Fatawu. Not all about numbers but his are absolutely atrocious and it's not like he's affecting the game in other ways. Appreciate Monga hasn't exactly torn it up but surely you'd prioritise developing him over Mavididi contributing nothing time after time. And it's also telling that when Monga comes on, he's marked far more tightly than Mavididi. Playing him as a 10 also makes no sense. Appreciate he's got a crap hand as alluded to with the lack of support but he's shown nothing.

Probably the sulkiest footballer I've ever seen as well. Makes Zaha look pretty chill.

always chucks his toys out the pram and seems to look disciplined, fails to track back consistently and is predictable

Yeh, Marti’s double pivot means Mavididi doesn’t have a left sided 8 to work with. He was at his best when he had quality inside him in KDH. With a 10 who tends to stick centrally there’s less connection. On top of that our only 10, BDCR is a moments player who is anonymous for the majority of games. Fatawu has a similar problem on the right without the right sided 8 he had with Ndidi. Cifuentes’ preference for a double pivot hasn’t made us more secure defensively and isolates both wingers.

How refreshing to read someone who reads the game and talks sense!

He's literally been this level 90% of his time here. In the first 4/5 months under Enzo there were a few stand out performances, but this now is what we normally see.

Matt Piper was spot on the other week when he said his priority is to look good first, play good second. But the latter rarely happens.

He has always looked more interested in rearranging his shorts than playing football. I don’t think he’s any better than championship level, shame really as he’s talented but talent will only get you so far in this game.

I've noticed Monga has either copied or has a few of his traits too sadly, he's not what young players should aspire to be like. Pearson would have him out the door as fast as Beckford and Danns

Mongadidi step over challenge.

It’s frustrating watching our wingers, it’s a combination of them not getting the support   but in the rare moment they do, they are greedy and try to do everything themselves.

It is like they’ve forgotten the basics of being a winger and just focus on the tricks rather than using their tricks to get out of trouble.  As soon as they hit a brick wall, it gets sent back to the full back who recycle it, but the wingers don’t use their brains to just run ahead into the space. A simple pass and move and they are off, our wingers will stand still.

They need discipline and tactics drilled into them, if they aren’t going use their brains.

None of them play on the correct side, maybe any of our strikers would score more if crosses were coming in round the back of defenders rather than meat and drink in front. Yes we see the odd worldly cutting inside but double up and we’re done as an attacking force. Both are quick enough to get past most fullbacks in this league.

Like most of the squad total loss of confidence after playing under 3 piss poor managers.

Who has improve or even maintained their level in the last 18 months.

In the first half yesterday he would constantly receive the ball and see 4 Oxford players ahead of him. No one over or under lapping to drag defenders away. Ayew would come short to try and help but then if they worked into a crossing position there’s no one in the box.

The wingers have been isolated all season. 28 games in and Marti hasn’t seemed to have realised this yet.

This amazing philosophy doesn't like overlapping wing backs. But @RedSoxUK will let you know it works and we had 72% possession at least.

I think the point about underlapping 8's is a good point for Mavididi and Fatawu.

Assuming they are still there and we don't bring in anyone (except maybe a striker) i think the below is our best chance of success if we get a new manager who can actually coach the team.

Souttar back in to provide a bit of leadership on the pitch assuming he's fit. A set of actual bollocks in the defence.

Nelson playing a similar role to Callum Doyle in Maresca season. Doesn't go over halfway line, but pings diagonals and is strong on crosses.

Ricardo - we don't have anyone any better and he can only play when he's tucking in.

Fatawu and Mavididi - need to show same energy they did in Maresca season.

James and Page playing 8's on left and right to underlap like Ndidi and KDH. Page needs to get stuck in which might be difficult for a kid of his age. but he's so good on the ball.

NEW STRIKER...

Stola

Souttar Okoli Nelson

Ricardo Skipp

Fatawu James Page Mavididi

Striker

Should probably play better if he doesn't want to get called out.

most of the replies to him were suggesting that Stephy should probably try training harder than a social media admin then
