We thought it was left back and a striker but having watched us in the last 3 games it’s actually every single position. Jacob needs dropping as he’s turned into wet paper and a Ming Vase of a keeper.

Also both full backs needed to support Aluko. A centre back alongside Nelson, a box to box mid, our wide men are more hit than cold and 2 strikers.

Just dont understand how a manager hasnt seen that he is struggling and opted to go for the experience of Begovic for a few games. He needs taking out the firing line

Beyond belief because he has been terrible for a couple of months and pretty poor before that, doesn't inspire any confidence, then again that's any off them

He was incredibly lucky to have that corner goal disallowed. Jakob is clearly a talented keeper, but the current environment we have is not suited for him currently. An experienced head is needed to dictate what's happening

Begovic conceded 6 goals in 2 games for us and is in his 40's- he's not some magic formula that's going to stop us conceding.

What this team needs is someone in their late 20's hitting their prime. We don't have that.

This one upsets me really, because i think people are unfairly getting on his back. He wasn't at fault for the 2 goals and made some decent saves and made good calls to come out early. There were mistakes and got lucky for the disallowed one.  He's form isn't good enough for sure, but our team puts so much more pressure on our keeper than other teams do, we aren't giving him the opportunity to settle in and build up confidence.

None of the experienced players offer any help, and Riccy is useless. Later in the the 2nd half Abdul went crazy at his when throwing the ball out to the wing (and was still screaming 5 minutes after it happened). The crowd get on Jakubs back for this yet no player looks for the it be played to them. A more experience keeper can do better here, but the team have to appreciate this is his first full season. Abduls attitude stank because when he first came in the senior players looked after him. Riccy saw it happened, and did nothing. Minutes later Abdul is having goes at the lino and not tracking back. Again, just puts more pressure on the defence and keeper.

Team needs a cool head at the back. JS is a loose cannon and gives zero confidence, leadership or organisation to the defence like the Danny Ward days. A keeper who constantly flaps at crosses and doesnt command his area is already making the team nervous. An experienced head on the pitch would help young defenders like Nelson imo. Generally cant get any worse then it is at the moment

Yes, but the team also needs to let academy products transition from that into first team regulars. Yesterday the only senior players in the back 5 (including the keeper) where Luke Thomas (no leadership, and poor himself) and Riccy (no leadership, playing the worst football of his career). The we have Hamza (a knob head who got injured anyway) and Page and Winks (wants out of the club at any cost). Then you have Abdul who is as mad as a box of frogs, and Ayew who barely realises he is at a football game.

Yet - blame it all on Jakub, who in the first half made a save that kept us in the game anyway.

I don't dissagree, but in an ideal world we have a proper mobile leader at CB, midfield and up top. We have none, anywhere.Have those, and this keeper can flourish.

I agree but with academy players they need dipping in and out of the team. Its time for JS to have a spell on the bench for his own good

The defence and keeper work as a unit and need confidence in each other to be effective. You can see from the second and disallowed goals yesterday, the defence have zero confidence in him, they're bricking it on every cross.

The biggest problem is what's in front of him. We had Kasper who never came for crosses maily because he had the likes of Morgan, Elliott and Huth in front of him.

What we have is a bunch of weak players who dont want to challange for the Ball from set pieces. The only one who will use his strength is Okoli and Vesty will go for a header if it comes his way.

But they cant be everywhere. This along with poor Coaching is why we loose out on set pieces. either end of the pitch.

We need to sign bigger stronger players in the Summer who can also play a bit.

Stolarczyk will always be criticised because he can't catch.

You'd think one of a number of youth and senior goalkeeping coaches would have worked out that if he can't learn how to catch and how to kick, then he's probably not good enough to be number 1.

It's harsh but if you're parrying every shot, fumbling crosses and corners as a 6ft **** goalkeeper, you're very exposed and easy pickings for any competent opposition manager.

Begovic should have ousted him months ago.

Jakub is fine, goals conceded is primarily down to tippy tappy.

I liked how he runs to the man for the first Oxford goal instead of the ball. Don't forget Oxford away too. I would list lots of goals we've conceded that a decent goalkeeper would have kept out.

Would help if he could catch a ball or not parry the ball straight back into the middle.

Its the old saying of never make your #2 the #1.

Tried it with Ward, failed.

Tried it with Stolarczyk, failed.

There is a clear hierarchial system in Goalkeeper positions and its there for a reason.

You sure about that? If Jakub was in goal at the Emirates we would have lost 8-2.

Wout Faes in this video 😂😂

Thank God we got rid of that bellend.

He's 38. Plenty of goalkeepers playing top level football at that age.

That Spanish keeper we signed is just another mystery of this cluster fcvk of a supposed football club.

We're literally a parody.

He can't catch as a) he doesn't pre empt the shot or cross a la Ward and b) he then does not get in line with the flight of the ball.

The goalkeeping coaching is a shambles.

Both him and Ward have dire fundamentals

And Mads stood up really well to that at West Ham.

I like the guy but coming here won't do him any favours
