His shot stopping was exceptional.    Getting caught on the ball, and some dodgy passing caused concern.  He needs regular game time but we can't afford to send him out on loan.

I thought his distribution was meant to be a lot better than it was yesterday. Great shot stopper performance but I think my expectations of him were unfairly high

When you are playing short, their is significant responsibility on the defensive players and the player in the Winks (Hamza yesterday) role.  Vesty being so comfortable on the ball and able to almost trick attackers is key to the system.  A lot of the first half Brum played this very aggressively. I sit in H1 and said to my boy if we had our normal line up i could see us slicing straight though that and getting a bag load of chances.  This moment below is actually when Hamza gives it away - he plays the pass to Coady (who is in the right spot) but lazily plays it too soft. Stolarczyk hasn't done anything wrong here (and looks calm and comfortable), it's the team that messes it up, but it's too easy to blame the keeper for piddling around at the back. These lazy moments give the opposition lots of confidence to try again.

I have to say, i don't remember thinking distribution was poor in the 2nd half. Also, Brum looked knackered when they came off and Mowbray even mentioned it in his post match interview. Although it's tough to watch, it's a good example of the tactic being used to tire the opposition.

Good post. And yes I agree on the system although there were a few unpressured shit passes in first half though. I agree distribution improved in the second half. I really like Stolarczyk and don't think Mads will be here more than 2 seasons so hoping he keeps improving

We got our goalkeepers sorted for the next few years

If Mads Hermansen does go to a big club in 4 or 5 years time then we can rely on this guy to fill his place

I don't think Stolarczyk will be happy to play 2nd fiddle for 5 years, and i think if Mads was to end up at a bigger club it would be sooner the 4-5 years.

I feel more confident that he’ll save shots on goal and deal with corners compared with Hermansen but he desperately needs to sort the passing out, I know both keepers play similar passes to the midfielder with a man on his back but feels like Stolarczyk is really riding his luck every time.

Very good shot stopper. Strong and confident coming for crosses but an absolute nightmare with the ball at his feet. Almost gave me an aneurism.

I would'nt be surprised to see a big offer come in for him from one of the big Clubs. Arsenal or Newcastle for instance.

For how we play he needs to improve with his feet, but as a number 2 in the championship, he’s great.

I feel he got better with his feet as the game went on, and was much better when Riccy came on. Would love to see how he develops in a full strength team.

He’s a really good keeper, remember the Dunfermline manager saying at the time, what a coup he was, when they signed him on loan. When you’re not playing regularly, what’s being asked of him with the passing is incredibly difficult, not to mention he hasn’t played often with the first choice backline.

I'd need to see him over a sustained period of games before making a judgement. He doesn't do much wrong as a keeper, I don't count mistakes when trying to pass like a prem cm because it's a nice to have rather than a core requirement.

Looks the business to me. Clean hands, confident on crosses, seems to communicate with his defence well. Not as good as Mads with the ball at his feet but he's in the right setup to learn on that front. Very impressed.

His passing can be dodgy but not having Winks to pass to doesn't help. Winks takes up great positions and rarely loses the ball, even in tight spaces, but his passing options were often limited tonight.

Enzo's influence knows no limits. We've got people typing with Italian accents now. What a man.
