Non League Football  ·

This pie, chips and mushy peas cost just £5.70 at Curzon Ashton when they played host to Mansfield in the FA Cup. 👌

Non-league food is quite often really good. As well as City I also watch Ilkeston and Bishop Auckland, the food at both is twice as good and half the price.

It is and whilst I get that you can maybe make a bit better food when you don't have as many people to rush it out to, there's been absolutely no excuse for the way bigger clubs see only profit.

They serve up the absolute worst they can get away with for the biggest price they can get away with and we keep letting them get away with it.

Went to Scotland last week. Ross County v Hibernian

Rubbish game 0-0

Tasty scran though

Halftime Venison scotch pie (£4) much better than the rubbish served up at KP

Has anyone had one of these mythical Yorkshire pudding wraps that were advertised at the start of the season? Maybe it's just for the posh folk in the main stand? Us paupers in SK1 have to make do with the choice of the Sausage roll & two  pies + the vegan rubbish. The fayre outside the ground is equally underwhelming (apart from the burger vans).

How do you fit a meal around a 12.30  kick off anyway ?  I guess you either have an early brunch or go home for 'afternoon tea'

You could fill your pockets with nibbles or queue up at half time but they say "watching while losing is bad for your digestion :ermm:"

Its got something to do with the difference in wages paid to premier league players and the players in other leagues in Europe.... EPL players probably get paid about 4 to 6 times as much as their counterparts.I remember when Ndidi joined Leicester he was getting less than 10k a week and at Leicester his wage jumped to around 70k. EPL clubs have to claw back the money somehow and in the UK the public always suffer

I don't understand why people need a burger near 3pm on a Saturday (and pay an extortionate price for the cr*p/mediocre one at that) ... do they not have food in to eat before they leave?, does it not ruin their appetite for dinner? maybe i'm getting old and tight

Yeah a pie and bovril is one thing. Warming and traditional. Burgers are inappropriate at the football, unless maybe from a shack at a non league game.
